RE: LSF A-1 MK3 Concept - RmJ - 02-06-2013

Jinx, anything has "anime" properties because anime has so many expressions it's hard NOT to find an anime proxy about a subject or object. With that, I plea, don't link the two because it is irrelevant. I could say the same for many models. This design isn't based firstly on looks, I designed it with practically in mind. Having it called anime like is an insult to me. However I cannot say you're wrong is saying so. Because the objective of displaying here is to get feedback. No personal opinion is wrong nor can I argue anyone's point is wrong. I am just merely stating a pet peeve of mine, which this isn't the first time someone mention "anime" to my work, and I thought I'd share that so that someone wastes their time searching for something useful in this medium sized paragraph.

As for the Upholder the projects were once a dual set. However I was not able to finish in time due to dying computers that finally just gave up. I think the drawback of being so vanilla with Liberty fighter line is that they really serve no purpose having cockpits so exposed. I could adjust the cockpit area to accommodate an open canopy I'll give it a shot sometime later and upload.

New editions are difficult to have, sure, the ridged process of original models being added kills my desire to even attempt it. And I'm sure there are many who feel the same way. Everything has to be so strictly examined because we don't want to over populate the mod with ships. For whatever reason that's a bad thing. That's what annoys me so much is that majority of the good models gets turned down because they're not attached to any faction and God forbid we have more civilian stuff. Oh? Civs getting new ships? Only took three years for civs to actually have a gunboat, ney Zoner ect.

/rant

Either way I have thought of some changes to the rear section of the craft. I'll work on the cockpit in complement to the rear engine section.

Exactly why it's called an LSF Concept.

Last time I checked LSF and LN use the same ships. That is unless you are going to create a complete unique LSF line, and make it open only to them with nerfs on the normal Liberty line.

The Navy would also be able to use it of course, they share the same line. It's just that "lore-wise" the ship would have been made specifically for the LSF, specialized for their purpose, intents and style of operation.

Also, V2 > V1

I respect the idea of shared lines, but awhile back LSF was pushing for autonomy and dependency from the Navy. Hence another reason why this model even exists. Navy can use it, but it's under the permissions from the LSF. Now if that was directly from the LSF faction or just iRP, where the =LSF= doesn't actually handle it, but in definition the ship is LSF, purely.

No tech nerfing involved with Navy ID. Possible with LPI.

Mainly I dispute suggesting anything joint RDA with Navy as this was completely RP'd as a LSF operation. Back when I was Sec RDA of =LSF=. The joint project was the Upholder.

Sticking to the same lore, and never advancing it, will keep us in the dinosaur age in regards to stats and repeat stories. It's time to evolve.

Make a whole line then and put the respected nerfs on the normal LN line for LSF (green cell, not a SUPER HEAVY OMAGAHD NERF) and for LN and LPI on the LSF line, it will encourage people to stay within the factions' RP. As for permissions, well in all honesty people will just ignore those with the new technerf system.

RE: LSF A-1 MK3 Concept - RmJ - 02-27-2013

LSF doesn't deal with waste, it is a waste to make an entire line. Their objectives can be reached with the new fighter and already service ships of different classes.

Again the point of the Upholder and this fighter is to set the mode for the next gen. LSF doesn't need entire line for that. If the Navy gets new models eventually that follow suit than I say mission accomplished, but it is completely uninteresting to me.
