RE: Bourbon & Whiskey - zalsrevenge - 04-28-2013 Recovering alcoholic here. I used to drink a bunch of whiskey way too often. I was particularly fond of Canadian whiskey, because well, I'm Canadian. Crown Royal and Canadian Club are kind of bad, I always preferred Wisers Deluxe. It's Rye. I recommend you give Wisers a try if you don't have the tendencies I do. Also if you like Rye Whiskey. I have to stay sober for my own protection. RE: Bourbon & Whiskey - n00bl3t - 04-28-2013 Glenfiddich 18YO Ancient Reserve scotch is highly recommended, if you can find it. Glenlivet 21YO Archive/Reserve scotch is a good fallback. Honestly, as long as you're not drinking teachers you should be fine. Someone mentioned Canadian Club, smooth to drink straight but I don't find any distinct flavour there. Has anyone tried Lagavulin 16YO or or The Macallan 18YO? RE: Bourbon & Whiskey - Gypsie - 04-28-2013 I drink a lot of Vat 69. It's way out of my price range but it's definitely on my shopping list for when i'm rich and famous. I remember I tried a Laphroag some time ago and it certainly was an interesting flavour, but for the life of me I can't remember much else about it. I'l definitely have to get my hands on some some time in the near future. And evening robes. Quite. The trouble is whenever I head into a liquor store, I am usually in a rush and grab the familiar favourite. But a cigar and some card games wouldn't go astray. RE: Bourbon & Whiskey - Fletcher - 04-28-2013 That is a better idea. I don't smoke, but a cigar I could try. RE: Bourbon & Whiskey - Harley.Quinn - 05-01-2013 Well, I prefer the Jack Daniels most. But, it's all depends on how much money I or my friends have. It's not a cheap think... I can say that my hobby is drinking with my friends and then doing something foolish. So we cannot always afford to the Jack Daniels or any other expensive thing... But thank's the God that we have almost everyone the Vodka in our houses. In my country we can get the Vodka any time, or the Wine but in Russia you need only 5 minutes to find the Vodka, fill the glass with it and then drink it.
