Are we allowed to be in multiple factions? Because I'm already currently in BAF. But I've been thinking of making a fun trader char to RP in, and a Gateway transport just might do.

Yup, multiple factions is allowed. I positively encourage members to play opposing factions as well, just to get to know their 'enemies'.
After all, you're less likely to rage or feel victimised on a player level when you're friends with the people on the other side.
It's all down to personal preference, really.
