This is AEMF Commander Wolf here we don't recall a second accident anyways we did some deep digging into the ships internal system logs and found out the cores output was 67% higher than it should of been creating a short circuit and overload of various systems aboard including the weapon control systems for the missile pods creating a malfunction making them fire and the auto seeking system aboard the missiles went to the first thing they could which apparently was the ore you described. After further checks we have found many systems aboard the ship were badly damaged due to this overload so we are very sorry but it was a massive system malfunction at the time. Currently the said vessel is at Trenton station undergoing repairs to its core system hopefully the repairs will fix the problem.
