Hello there Guildmasters, or whoever is reading this for them.
You may recognise my name, or at least be able to find it in the old personnel files if you were to take a look.
After 'flying the nest' upon Leeds, I worked as a transport pilot for IMG, mostly supplying to and from Holman. where I lived for several years. There I met, fell in love with and married my beautiful wife Claire. We soon had a son, Sam, and were content on Holman.
However, with the strange activity all over the Border Worlds almost 20 years ago, I thought it'd be safer for my family in Bretonia again. Rather than come back to IMG, I decided to haul independently, so have been dragging them around most of Sirius since the turn of the century.
This might not have been the best upbringing for Sam, but he's a good kid at heart. He seems to have found a place for himself among the Colonials, though I'll admit a bit more dangerous work than I've ever considered. Claire and I are lucky enough to be having another child together, after almost giving up entirely. Settling down would be in both her and the baby's best interest, and IMG are a good company to work for in many ways, including stability. There's also a wealth of sentimental value for Claire and I in respect to Holman.

The Guild's main aim is to allow each worker to earn a fair share for the work they put in.
It also looks to expand its current operations and create new opportunities, in both known and currently uncharted systems.

What can you contribute while inside the Guild?
I'm an experienced hauler who knows his way around most of Sirius, and definitely the parts where I'd be going in an IMG convoy. A reliable sort of bloke, I'd be fully committed to the Guild, second only to that I have for my family.
Although the old girl's gotten into a bad shape, my transport The Hearty Endeavour's transponders are still in working order and I'd hope to be able to refit them on a new ship.

What are your personal reasons for joining the Guild? Also, which IMG Department would you like to be part of?
As I've said above, I'm looking for stability - both in the work IMG can provide, and a home life for my family.
I'm sure you've worked it out already, but I'm applying to your Transport Division.

I've only been here for three months and have yet to be sanctioned. No plans for this to change in the future.

Alright, James, calm down... It can't be that bad. *lights a cigarette* How to start? I can't mess up, not now... It's a life time opportunity. *sigh* Here goes.

*picks up a pencil* As you already see, my name is James Hewitt. *stops for a moment, then resumes writing* Born on planet Erie, raised in poor terms, sick of seeing my father struggling to make me into a hard-working man, for all these years... He gave away almost every single credit he has, to buy me a nifty ship, a Surveyor. *holds again for a moment* I've been learning to fly since my 19th year, he chose a path of miners for me. We were just behind our planet, in the Helium field, teaching me how to shoot at those tiny rocks of value. I indeed saw something... Relaxing, and joyful in it. That field used to drag me away from all the problems we had back home, in our underground apartment... Back on Erie, I heard rumours of an independent, widespread Guild, professionalised in mining, and exploring distant systems. Since I have no NeuralNet access in my apartment, I had to pay 500 credits, just to have a chance to fill out this application.

I was browsing the NeuralNet to find you, I even found one of your men, Jack Henderson. He diverted me to this frequency, hoping that I'd get accepted. I'm on my own, I can't do this alone. Biography:

Aleph Starsunder, a foundling raised by lower-class Bretonian immigrants on Planet Houston. While having absolutely no information about his birth parents, Aleph has the striking features of a Rheinlander.

Upon coming of age, Aleph set off to see the world, doing odd jobs to pay for expenses. As he was traveling around Planet Houston one day, Aleph noticed a thief in a crowded spaceport snatch a briefcase. He stopped the thief and the briefcase was returned to its rightful owner. The man, who turned out to be a rather wealthy businessman, gifted Aleph an old CSV which his company was about to decommission anyway.

Thus began Aleph's journey to the stars.

For little over a month, Aleph flew around Liberty, taking on just enough work to pay for the next night at the bar. However, due to his looks, he was often at the receiving end of anti-Rheinland sentiment. Just before he reached his boiling point, Aleph made the wise choice to leave Liberty temporarily. After one last trip back to Planet Houston to say goodbye, Aleph headed to Bretonia.

Being raised by Bretonians, Aleph had no trouble fitting into the Bretonian culture. However, he soon realised that if Bretonian culture was what he wanted, he would have stayed at home in the Bretonian community on Planet Houston. Thus, he took off once again, to explore the lands of his blood: Rheinland.

On Rheinland, Aleph found himself in trouble once again, this time because of his Liberty citizenship. Emploment was hard to come by, and Aleph was soon out of credits. Ditching his Liberty citizenship, Aleph tried, unsuccessfully, to apply for a Rheinland citizenship. In desperation, Aleph had no choice but to do jobs that no one else wanted, and ended up working as a garbageman for ALG on New Berlin. Here, Aleph's luck finally began to turn. An internal opening looking for people with experience in dealing with the Bretonians opened up, and Aleph applied for it successfully.

During his ALG stint in Bretonia, Aleph found that the area was a hazardous place, mostly due to the Gallic Navy, which kept attacking Bretonian territory. ALG, however, kept clear of the Gallic Navy, and did not have too many problems with them. Aleph, however, after seeing one too many Bretonian civilians being shot down, decided to do something about it. He left ALG and looked for a place in an organization that was fighting Gallia. After some consideration, Aleph decided to apply to the Colonial Republic.

The Colonial Republic reply was promising.

"Aleph Starsunder.

You are Accepted into the Warrant Officer training program, provided you pass the required interview."

What joy! Warrant Officer! With a cheerful heart and a cheesy grin, Aleph headed for the interview.

*REJECTED*

Well, damn. The Colonial Republic offered him citizenship, what was something, at least, but no job. Once again, Aleph found himself without a job and running low on cash. Thinking back to his ALG days, Aleph recalled people saying that the IMG was a good place to make money, and so, deciding that he never wanted to find himself in a situation once again where money caused him to worry, Aleph applied for a post at IMG.

Outline the Independent Miners Guild goals: After my last answer, I have done some sweeping at my home to find out more about you. Besides mining, there are three more departments available: transporting, defence and research. Also, every single member of the Guild gets to have his own earnings, and something important - respect from other members. Then, there's the Guild independency from other houses, which in the first place led to the creation of your Guild.

What can you contribute while inside the Guild ? A hard-working, humble youngster always willing to help out in which way I can.

Which are your personal reasons for joining the Guild ? Also, which IMG Department would you like to be part of ? After my mother died... in a collision on her way to work *stops for a moment, trying not to shed a tear* my father has struggled a lot to do something for a living, giving all he had to make my life better. Now, I feel that it's time to return the favor, he needs my help... I'm not a child anymore.

Mining is the best thing I can do so far, and I feel I would fit right in... At least, that's what I was thought to do.

I Was born to a Hard working mining family in Rhienland space. Kruger Mining Ran the system with an Iron fist (damn them). Father worked Kruger fields. We lived in Kruger housing. we shopped at Kruger Commisaries. We ate Kruger food. We breathed Kruger air !! yeah.... moving on.... Because of the Poor (...lack of proper health care) and Toxic environment, I was born with a rare syndrome ( too technical to name and too hard to pronounce ) that prevents my body from maturing or getting any larger. As a result I shall remain as I looked when I was 10 months old! Imagine,, NEVER growing, NEVER changing, needing a high chair at 25 years of age, not to mention the stares, women pinching my cheeks and baby talk I must endure from strangers! Imagine trying to get a drink at the local pub! And with a name like GUMBY! And All THIS because the company wanted just 2% more in profits! (did I say damn them yet!) ... Finally my father saved enough to pay for our passage on a freighter to the Omegas and IMG. The Freighter captain took pity on me and determined to teach me how to fly a starship. So here we are with the shirts on our backs... and I have one skill... determined to make it pay for the Improvement of our family. Btw.. Does anyone know where I can find a good Highseat/Captain's chair?

Money for my family and the freedom to determine my own fate. I may be the smallest miner in Sirius but I have a big heart.

No but the Devs tried to keep me out because they said I was too small to reach the pedals and controls of my spacecraft...., Also they said because of my looks I am too Cute and it poses an unfair advantage in dealing with the women merchants of Sirius. They are always trying to Breast feed me. (Weird huh?)
