The S/D Agency Files - Tomtomrawr - 12-29-2008 Incoming Transmission To: The Director From: Rookie Cameron Mitchell Subject: Basic Report Message Contents: Sirs, Today i decided to escort some traders. Unfortunately not many needed escorting today, but eventually i found two traders in Cambridge. There route was quite basic, ran between 4 systems and made a basic profit. They told me that they were old friends and that they had been trading together for a while. ![]() Eventually i had to leave them and i docked onto Planet Leeds for some rest. This ends my report for the day, Mitchell out. Transmission Ending. The S/D Agency Files - SigCorps - 12-30-2008 **Incoming Transmission** To: The Director From: Agent Brent Mako Ship- S/D-Seeker Location : Bonn Station Subject: Combat report Message Reads: Well launched out of Bonn station and began a sweep of New Berlin. At first if was very quiet. I chatted with a few of the RM that were in system. Then we all hear a nasty voice come over the system wide comms. Some punk bad mouthing the RM and Hunters. We all break off and start looking for this guy. I had 3 slight radar hits on him around Bonn station so I kept shooting back and forth in the lanes trying to pin his location down. Another hunter actaully ran into him about 30 seconds before I came across them both up by the gate to Hamburg. Turns out the punk was a Bundschuh named VF)Finn.Vallhart. The other hunter, a Gun boat captain, named Wanderer seemed to have things in hand. I asked if he wanted an assist and when he said no I started to leave. That's when the silly Bundschuh decided to open fire on me and drop my shields. Here is Finn's ship info ![]() Well I engage and we begin to dance. As you can see from the above scan his ship could do one pass and strip off my shields and I could do almost the same to him. The gun boat was having a hard time tracking such a maneuverable ship. Heck I was having trouble hitting him. We spent most of the time in a dang tight circle, each chasing each other. After about 10 minutes 3 RM folks showed up and pulled the other hunter out of the fight and then two of them joined in. So now you got 3 of us trying not to hit each other while trying to nail this guy Here is a gun cam shot Gun cam pic I spent more time dodging the RM then I did the Bundschuh. I took more friendly fire damage during that fight and collision damage. After another 15 minutes I had to pull out because I was tango nano bots and almost out of bats. Although my leaving did serve a purpose. Finn was so intent on me that he made the run to follow me ot the lane. This of course made him an easy target for the RM and he was put down by a well placed mine of all things. Now while we were fighting a Keeper had come in system and I ran back to Bonn station to rearm. But by the time I got back out the Keeper had killed 2 locals and vanished. Things calmed down after that and all was right with the world once again. Side note I am trying out a partial missile load out with the manta. A sidewinder and Firestalker system. In this fight they were about useless. With the maneuverability of the Sabre they could not connect. Not to mention I was worried about hitting the RM ships. I'll try them out further in other types of fights, but just a note for all you new folks working on your own loadouts. The S/D Agency Files - Tomtomrawr - 12-30-2008 Incoming Transmission To: The Director From: Rookie Cameron Mitchell Subject: Nanosuits Message Contents: Greetings sirs, Today as i wandered the streets of Leeds i found a manufacturer of Nanosuits. I decided to see what they had and saw that the Nanosuits would be perfect for the Strontium Dogs. These suits are the best on the market for protection, i have a picture right here that i think you shall like. ![]() This suit can actually adapt you to the things you need to do, it can make you go faster, make you stronger, give more protection against incoming fire, and even has a temporary cloaking device, that works for up to ten seconds. I have been told these suits are 100,000 credits each, and are perfect for people who are in constant action. Mitchell out. Transmission Ending. The S/D Agency Files - Rayul - 12-31-2008 Incoming Transmission To: Assistant Director - Douglas Bader, Newark Station From: Agent James Witter Subject: Activity Report Priority: Normal Message reads: Greetings Assistant Director & fellow Agents, Under the approval of the Assistant Director & with the aid of AP Manufacturing, I created a Bomber, designation S/D-Penance. It has been fitted especially for handling ships of a Gunboat or higher class. The Penance today had its first hunt, along with Athena's.Memory. The Hunt was in New London for two Corsair ships, a Gunboat & a fighter. Both Max & I had the approval and support of the BAF to hunt these ships within Bretonia Space. However due to lack of experience with the new craft and... dare I say it... very skilled opponents, the Penance was destroyed. Max had little luck too with the targets and before we knew it we were sharing a cargo hold ride back to Southhampton Shipyard to await the APM delivery of two more AP12400's. I believe APM Personnel are rushing a bulk supply of Engine Components up to Cambridge. I hope to be back in the field as soon as possible. Witter Out. So quiet i decied to change locations and head back to Bonn station. Things were getting real heated between the RN / RHA/ and a Sair when I got there. Since Cap ships were in play I stayed back and watched from the side lines. After that since the RN was out in full force I docked for the day. Dane out **end of Transmission** The S/D Agency Files - Tomtomrawr - 01-04-2009 Incoming Transmission To: The Director From: Rookie Cameron Mitchell Subject: Report over the last two days Message Contents: Greetings, Apologies for my late report, i haven't had much time over the last couple of days. In these days i have been assisting BAF against multiple Corsair raids. I made two kills in these raids, one was an assist, and the other was a situation where the corsairs torpedo blew himself up. Either way i hope to recieve payment for both of them from BAF. Here are images from my gun mounted cameras: ![]() ![]() That is all for the moment, Mitchell out. Transmission Ending. The S/D Agency Files - Dashiell - 01-04-2009 Comm System: OPEN To: The Director From: Rookie Raya Remnant Subject: Setting up & first job This afternoon I was setting up my ship when an Interspace craft, APM-Libra, contacted me for a job. a simple escort mission from LD-14 to New York. I accepted because I wanted to test fly my new Arrow anyway. It went well until we ran into a major outcast trade lane blocking in California. a few fighters and 2 gunboats I believe were blocking the way. The captain of the Interspace craft wanted to pay but unfortunatly she forgot to deactivate the auto-dock controls for the lane. the pirates thought she was making a dash for it and blew her up. I engaged the Sabres but there was very little I could do so I had to escape. I heard from her later on that she was ok as a Bowex craft had picked her up. Great first impression I`ve made eh? I`ll need to visit the S/D armoury because I need better outfitting. seeing my shots bounce off Outcast ships is really depressing... Raya out. Comm System: CLOSED The S/D Agency Files - Agmen of Eladesor - 01-07-2009 Incoming Transmission From: S/D-Surma Patrol Report Started a regular Bretonia patrol, first doing a quick circuit of Cambridge. Nothing happening. Went up to New London, and chatted with a couple of BAF officers for a while, nothing happening. So it was slide up to Leeds. Other than some traders, things were NOT hopping there, so I headed down to the Magellan Jump Hole to see if I could intercept any pirates coming through. First thing through was some jerk in a BH BC. He didn't even acknowledge my hail. Second thing through - and I was ENTIRELY too close for this - was a Lane Hacker Spyglass battleship. Well, other than a brief panic attack, my crew handled things well - and we also did the only thing we COULD do. RUN! I mean - seriously... a gunship against a BATTLESHIP? Not happening in my world. We made it back to Planet Leeds, and then relocated down to Cambridge for rest and repairs. We had taken a little bit of damage, but nothing major. End transmission The S/D Agency Files - looqas - 01-08-2009 *** INCOMING TRANSMISSION *** To: Directors From: Rookie Cletus "Banjo" Behn Subject: Patrol and engagement report The first scalp is taken now for the Agency. But let's not jump ahead of things. Contact in Omega-3 I flew transit from California to Cambridge since it seems the targets are more doable in Cambridge. I had been chasing this Hacker Phate for a better part of a week now and had gotten him in the edge of my radar but no closer. I needed a change. Cambridge turned out pretty quiet. I got a request from Norfolk to check out a radar contact Dark_Iniquity, but it managed to slip to Omega-3. I followed the ship there. Dang! I had lost him again. I put a searching flight path into my nav-computer and started looking for this mysterious ship. I docked to Rugen Station for a quick stop at the loo and loaded with questions if they had seen the ship. After undocking I heard a system wide bulletin coming from BAF|Ens.Karlson that there was a pirate in the system. I asked the location and he reported the ship in the vicinity of Freeport 1. I immediately set my course to FP1, but moments later he said that the ship had fled. And it was coming towards me. It was the missing ship Dark_Iniquity. We came to a stand-off and eyed warily each other. I noticed that I had not jurisdiction over him, since he was sporting a pirate ID albeit flying a Corsair Praetorian bomber. And I, nor Ensign Karlson, had not caught him in an act of piracy. So, I did the next sensible thing and talked the pirate into leaving the system. To top it all of he actually was relieved and amazed to see a hunter not coming at him guns blazing from the get-go. Even though I did basically nothing except playing my mouth I got compensated very generously by the Ensign Karlson. ![]() Search and Destroy in Cambridge After talking the pirate into leaving I got into a conversation with a Zoner and Ensign Karlson had left for Cambridge. I noticed that Ensign was engaged to a Corsair Vybz_Kartel and asked if he needed help. To which he promptly answered yes. I scanned the ship before opening fire and he was loaded with lawful pilots. I proceeded to inform the Corsair it was time to face the music. ![]() Ensign had already almost disarmed the bomber leaving only Nova torpedoes. After wearing him down together with Ensign with constant Mini Razor and Splitters fire the Corsair seemed to suffer an enGineFailure as you can see in the video him stopping and saying in the video I managed to grab from the situation when the mine I had released homed on his wrecked hull putting an very effective end to his struggle. And of course I made a mess and sent the wrong message to Ensing after he thanked me for the help. I tractored in the lawful pilots and loot. To my amazement I could not find the pod containing the Corsair, but at least there one ship less ruining the scenic Vista of Cambridge. I flew to Norfolk where I delivered the rescued pilots to the medical personnel I had alerted before landing. ![]() So, all went well today. I have to remember to check the bounty offerings if this Corsair was more worth than the regular bounty posted by BAF. - Cletus "Banjo" Behn *** END TRANSMISSION *** |
