Bonne journée,

Despite rising tensions on some of our inter-house routes business never stops, and with a commitment to the continuity of our endeavours OS&C|ONE-Thorkel has just completed a reciprocal resupply tour.

Supply runs delivered between Planet Curacao, Luxury Liner Hawaii, Planet Baden Baden, Luxury Liner Barbados, Cannes Resort Station, Luxury Liner Shetland and Monte Carlo Freeport thrown in for good measure. Between these bases stocks of Luxury Food, Cigars, Liberty Ale, Fire Pearls, Rheinbier, Wine and Luxury Consumer Goods were reallocated ensuring ample supply to meet local demand.

Nothing out of the ordinary occurred with minor traffic encountered and only passing communications with GPTGama.Maru and Platypup. Detailed cargo manifests have been lodged with General Invoicing and Central Records.

Salutations,

Abbie Plantago

Oyi All Ya'all,

We were cruising along, minding our own business and keeping the spirits high (literally), when a pirate named Kirknewton decided to crash the party. Managed to pay'em off but be on the lookout for this Gaian Gunship.

Over an' Out,
Larry

Subject: The satellite that shouldn't be there

My dear colleagues, esteemed co-directors,

This morning I found myself aboard the Barbados, approaching the liner with my personal shuttle along an unconventional vector. In doing so, I came across a communications satellite in orbit around Iridescencia. For your review, I have attached the images I personally captured.

As you will see, the satellite appears to be active, yet entirely devoid of any form of identification. Attempts to access its servers yield no information whatsoever.

Are any of you aware of this asset? Could it be one of ours, simply absent from the registry—something which, as our dear Schmidt can attest, would not be entirely unprecedented? And if it is not ours, to whom might it belong? A remnant of our “neighbors” on Veracruz, perhaps? Or something else entirely? More importantly: how much of our communications traffic is routed through that satellite—and who, exactly, has access to it?

With your consent, and by virtue of my position as subdirector of the SEC, I would propose dispatching a technical team to inspect it, possibly with the support of Deep Space Engineering or our friends among the Starfliers.

Should we manage—without provoking any regional complications—to secure full control of the asset, it could be repurposed to far more useful ends. As matters stand, the Barbados remains the only lawful port of call in the entire Vespucci system. The rest is a graveyard: wreckage, silence, and whatever unsavory elements choose to hide among the debris fields and asteroid belts. To present such an exposed and valuable target in so desolate a system is an unnecessary risk for the company.

If we were to convert that satellite into an early warning system, or equip it with long-range sensors and advanced radar capabilities, we could gain a significant strategic advantage against any potential threat.

I look forward to your thoughts. In the meantime, bonne soirée to you all.

Respectfully
Hector Balzac

Hello, Sub-Director Balzac

To be honest with you, I have totally forgotten that this satellite exists. But I have to say that I also wasn't near Barbados for a while. To be honest with you, I thought the Liberty Navy had confiscated everything that the Insurgency had owned. But if that Satellite is up for grabs, then we could indeed take it and include it in our own operations. I think if that really was an Insurgency asset and no one cares about it, then we should take it and incorporate it into our Network.

To send a team that can assess the Situation and also what kind of function the satellite still performs. After all, we would not like it if something or someone were to spy on our Guests and operations. To turn it into a Security Platform sounds like a good idea if you consider the exposed location of Barbados. I give you the Green Light to conduct whatever you deem necessary to bring the Satellite under control or disarm any danger that comes from it for our operations.

I am sure that you, as the leader of Spa-Sec, will know quite well how to handle a situation like this.

Safe Skys,

Greetings and Salutations to all.

First I must start with a humble request for forgiveness. I have been away from my post on personal business for quite some time now and was negligent with my duties and responsibilities. A more proper explanation, although humble and boring, will be shared with you all next time we meet in person. As to not bore all subscribed employees.

I've been reading the quarterly business report and was most pleasantly surprised with your accomplishments. One thing that caught my eye is the intent to organize the Ol' Shetland be moved as a part of the Leeds memorial. I'm quite eager to contribute to this cause. As a sign of apology for my absence, I'm in contacts with an artist to help us create some artwork for the project.

While that is under works, my humble persona will cross Sirius to do some trade and gather finances. Anything I should stay clear from? Any routes to avoid? Thank you all for the advice and I hope we meet each other sooner rather than later. Best of luck and clear skies to all!

Kind Regards,
John Colt
