Biography:

I was born on planet new London, I grew up with a pretty sub-standard life. you see my parents couldn't really afford to send me to school as it was. often times I would go to bed without a proper meal, although the government did help us just enough so that we weren't homeless which was a good thing.

Well anyway I studied hard to try and get a better life for myself and by the end of school I felt quite good, I came out with 'A's in most subjects including English and Maths, the only problem was that all the universities and colleges that offered good courses were simply too expensive to afford.

Soon after leaving school the most amazing thing happened, to my surprise my parents had managed to save up enough money for me to go to college! I couldn't believe my luck, offcourse this was partially paid for by the government as well but that didn't matter, I was going to college and that meant I would get a good job.

My college course was based around mining, I couldn't believe that I was going to learn how to mine and eventually one day fly a spaceship, well I passed the course with a Distinction over all and I was feeling quite proud of myself.

However soon after my life turned sour, I was given a job by the Bretonia Mining and Manufacturing company...the pay was quite frankly awful, and soon after joining I heard a rumour that someone had lost his leg in an accident were he was miss treated by BMM. Eventually I was called into an office room were my superior told me that I wasn't efficient enough all because I mined one unit of ore less than the standard 400,000 units of ore a day, I was devastated at this and soon after that I lost my job and so had to return home to my parents.

Things weren't any better at home, I returned to see my parents in more extreme poverty than when I left them, and to make things worse my mother has a tumour on her brain and the operation to remove it costs 1,500,000 sirian credits. I was thinking there is no way I could ever get that amount of money - even if I had stayed on with the BMM I would only be able to earn 1,000 sirian credits in a year.

The first sign of good news came when I found your neural net page, I saw information saying about fair wages and that you look after your employees, I am sure here I could make a brighter future for myself were I could become an independent person as well as save my mother.

Outline the Independent Miners Guild goals:

From what I have heard the Independent Miners Guild aims to provide jobs in the mining, hauling and escort sectors. The Guild aims to make sure that each worker Is looked after, treated fairly and earns a good wage.

This is why I have decided to come here and not attempt to go back to BMM or another mining company, because you care about your workers and will ensure they receive good pay - or at least that's what I've been told.

What can you contribute while inside the Guild ?

Well as I have detailed in my biography I am a highly skilled miner and have been trained to mine large quantities of ore in very short periods of time. I am sure that with these skills I will be able to generate revenue for the guild and do my part to maintain the good reputation that it has.

Which are your personal reasons for joining the Guild ?

My personal reasons for joining are to try and be able to earn the money for my mothers operation, to then get my family out of poverty and then thirdly earn a good and stable income for myself so that I may become an independent person and lead my own life.

Which IMG Department would you like to be part of ?

Well, from my degree I would say it's pretty obvious that I wish to join the mining department of the Independent miners guild.
