Dustin, I like how you speak as if your word is command and the final seal on the decision. Its not. There in fact two factions involved in this, LN and RM, the respective leaders of both RM and LN are in a state of contemplation.
If and when this does occur it will be on terms agreed upon by both parties, not by edict of all. I'm not a proponent of planned wars, I don't like the idea of having a script that restricts this to one outcome and one alone, besides if that were the case RM would be forced into a loss, seeing as their rumours state that the Rheinland Military has downsized to one battleship and is at best a third of the size of its fleet during the Nomad crisis.
For the record, as I am and have been for some time now a member of RM I am in no way biased, I simply want to see something "real".

I'd say a minor border skirmish instead of full out war. Maybe add a new border world that liberty and reinland can fight a bit over?

Liberty and Rheinland want the ice planetoid of Atka to build a sky resort. however, competition between both parties is extreme. Both high commands want to enjoy those hills. Liberty wants to put a lot of hotels and Casino there, while Rheinland, prefer to have a big Oktober fest space for its citizen, and also a spa to let his militarr relax

Well, my word is final for the Rheinland Military, I hope. I have to still come up with a few scenarios that are possibilities for the way the war works--a sort of possible outline of events that may or may not be accepted. I do apologize for taking so long.

Here is an idea:
How about using the current embargo that is in place. Say have two or three RH frieghters with inexperance crew take a wrong turn and are stopped just inside the Texas system by say one overzelous LN/LSF/LPI who cries for assistance because the transport crew are more than willing to just turn around and return to RH. The transports send a call to the RM for assistance and have the leaders of each side try to calm their people and difusse the situtation with very little weapons exchange. Or if it all goes into the bucket the RM cover the withdrawel of the freighters back to RH. Or it could be a Liberty freighter with top secret equipment that made a wrong turn and is stopped just inside Hamburg.
