But I've counted two offers, and really that's not enough to run the entire system. I suppose if needed I can join in. But if we were working sectors of Sirius I'd deff wanna be on Nomicrons and whatnot. RE: We need a community manager. - Lonely_Ghost - 11-20-2013 Meh, this souds like a job indeed....................... unpayed job.... like in my local airline company. For those guys, who ready to apply for it....sorry guys.... but things here aren't worth sacrifice you going to make at all. Sry Spazz, I voted "NO"- it's kinda late to drink Borjomi. RE: We need a community manager. - glassofwater - 11-20-2013 Yeah, it's still iffy for me even. Sounds like less fun than dealing with sanctions and taking the blame for everything. RE: We need a community manager. - Dratai - 11-20-2013 I would volunteer but the general consensus is: I'm a horrible person. xD RE: We need a community manager. - Croft - 11-21-2013 Not needed, the devs answer questions directly related to their chosen role, mods sweep the forums and everyone can create an event. RE: We need a community manager. - Omicron - 11-21-2013 Omicrons (the real part of it) governs itself for several years through use of some sort of a game master. To be honest it is not a position held by single person but council of leaders. Yuri from K'Hara would be the most "senior" member of it. RE: We need a community manager. - Papa Oomaumau - 11-21-2013 I voted no. Know what happens to the few genuinely good people who try to help new players and people who come from other games/platforms? They eventually get burned out and evaporate. They get sick of going to bat against admins/devs for people who are ungrateful and belligerent, or they get sick of explaining the same crap over and over again to newbies who really could care less (and won't be 'matured' Disco players for months anyway) And these kind, well-meaning rock star players, they grab their hair by the roots and scream, "this is a massive, thankless, and utterly annoying task!" And they promptly disappear. (Ask the Marburgs, Reverend Dels, and the Zelots of Disco) And gawd knows we already have a shortage of this type of player - we can't afford to lose even one. Additionally, there's too many people who have their own agendas and don't want to bother to fit in, and would rather that room be made for them, and eventually even the most astute CM would end up playing the pawn of some selfish manipulator or another. I could go on for days why I see this as a bad play. Let the mods/admins/devs do what they do - but 'hire' more of them, especially ones willing to get in-game as admins to at least be a presence. Hell, that alone should reduce lolwhuttery by 50%! RE: We need a community manager. - Curios - 11-21-2013 On the side note. Angels? : | Code: [Angels]Vrabcek 10:42:56 11/11/2013 17:53:16We have literally few active and some relatively active Angels atm. Mb, some more? I can be one. Where do I sign? I think angels are of a real help sometimes. |
