Not completely on speed. But the hitbox (being less than 1/3 the size of the actual ship) is so small its unhittable by the BS. The Huegenot is unbalanced. That is a fact. Not an opinion.

The fact that its as flat as a pancake means it is hard to hit anyway but the hitbox makes it nearly impossible to hit.
If the hitbox can't be fixed, the Huegenot should be removed from the mod.

Um... I'm not sure what I said before... But this is what I think now:
BS shield = Battleship PERIOD.
Cruiser shield = Cruiser/Battleship (Don't understand why you would, but someone might...)
GB Shield = GB/Cruiser/BS
Now as for the Lux Liner...
I don't really care if you ban the Cruiser shield from the Lux Liner, I'll probably still use it and no one will complain because all it does it sit in New York and look pretty.
Though, I think putting a Cruiser shield on a Lux Liner is not a horribly bad thing.... I think CRUISER shield nothing higher on it.
Um... Huggy... Yeah... Unbalanced, can't be hit... If you find a way to fix it, could you fix the Slipstream, too? Last I checked shots still go through the wings of that thing... I remember on Freeworlds they managed to get the TIE Interecepter to have a hitbox that MATCHED the ship... Perhaps asking them about hitboxes?

go again ... Its not everyones favourite cruiser anyhow. Get over it. Until Igiss finds a
fair way to sort out the problems, lets not have a call to remove it ... Its the pirate
cruiser, and has its own *class*, so to speak. But we have been here before.
The shield argument is set to run until we have a definative answer. Lets just say until
we do, everone will continue to exploit the loopholes, much as I don't like it.

About the Lux and Prison Liners. I think they should be classified as cruisers. Especially the Prison Liner if not both. The Luc Liner is a major anti-fighter cruiser as it has to fight off pirates while it cruises its passengers around. The prison Liner should actually be stronger than the Lux Liner. Think about it. It is made to transport pirates. Mainly the big and nasty ones. It should be able to fight off a gunboat on its own, but not a military cruiser or battleship. I think should be just slightly below a cruiser's energy and hull, while having a bit better agility. Not as much as a gunboat though... Then it just equips a cruiser shield as default when you buy it instead of a liner shield. In my mind NEVER should a liner be able to hold its own against a battleship and win. It shouldn't be able to equip a BS shield to go along with its energy capacity. It should have the energy capacity lowered to fit as a cruiser. Why make a superpowered liner just so you don't have to balance the thing. Having a liner that strong and that manueverable is rediculous. You want to make it a battleship double the size, give it more turrets, make it a flying brick and give it alot of hull. That should all be done if battleship shields are allowed on it. If thats not done its not balanced. Stop trying to take the easier way instead of the balanced way people.
Hoodlum, sorry to say this I know its your favorite ship, I like it to, but the balance issue is too great to not do anything about the Huegenot. If we can't fix the hitbox the ship will remain unbalanced. The most we could do is make it so weak that the few hits a BS can hit it with will actually damage it alot. Then the Huegenot will be too weak against fighters. The only way to keep it balanced is to fix the hitbox. If we can't do that we might as well scrape the thing altogether.
Wolf don't flame me for syaing these things. The past few days you seem to have gone out of your way to flame me and Nightfall. If you don't have anything constructive to say don't say anything. If you do have something constructive to say keep the flaming out of it. I can see why you might not like me, but I, and others, have no clue why you've been all over Nightfall the past few days. As far as I know he hasn't really done anything to make you angry at him. You could have replied calmly and simply told him that tiz turrets werent illegal. Instead of flaming him for not knowing.

as for my question...form all i have read i came to conclusion that i can mount GB shiled on lux liner...(correct me if i am wrong)
i agree that lux liner(and prison too) has very powerfull power plant...it is more a cruiser then a trader...as this is final version 4.79 i think that on those ships should be alowed only GB shileds...in that way it would be better balanced to a reall cruiser...maybe it has more power but it also has smaller hull and shileds...and if i am not mistaken cruisers are little more manevurable...

Eh... I don't like the idea of reducing stats just to compensate for a *MODEL* problem.
Sounds ass-backwards and it does create bigger problems in the long run.
I do know that the problem has to do with the SUR File, which controls a ship's abilitty to take hits, damage areas, hit box, that kind of thing.
Reducing stats forces the ship into different classes, honestly. I.e. if you have a ship with a certain hull, and reduce it so much where it matches the lower class, then that ship becomes THAT class, not it's original. Get what I'm saying here?

If i went out of my way.. You'd know it. Stop stuffing words in my mouth. Did I flame Nightfall? I wouldn't call it flame.. I simply asked when tizonas became illegal. That's it. Nothing more. That's all I will say about that particular subject. Anything else you gotta say can go privately. And I do recommend you do take it private.

I don't like reducing stats for a model problem either Wolf. I'm just saying it is a possible solution, but not a very good one... I say if we can't fix it and balance it we should scrape it. Its a cool looking ship, yes, but if it isn't and can't be balanced it shouldn't be here. Also some stats do need reduced even if it is fixed. For example the huge amount of turrets. Its as strong as a BS but more manueverable and smaller. An unfair combination.
@WolfPack. By out of the way, you go in topics and post just to flame me and nightfall. I'm not talking about only this thread and the tizzy is not illegal post. There are a few incidents where you just bash on him, and plenty where you bash on me. As I said, I can understand why you don't like me. You've even told me why you don't like me. And even though I think you get a bit more worked up about the things you don't like me for, as noone else gets that worked up about it, but... what is your problem with Nightfall?! I seem to see you bash on him alot. He hasn't done anything to you. Either tell us at least why you dislike him or are treating him rudely, or please treat him with a bit more respect. Even Nightfall has noticed that you are rude to him.
