No, actually. It was more like...like...oh wait, it was -exactly- like some very particular devs in our current-time implementing things (like..scanner nerfs!) without even -actually- consulting the people who will be using the things (hint: the "community")!
Yay! Let's make the same MISTAKES that Igiss did years ago! And then blame the community for how much time was implemented into doing something wrong.

I'm not sure who to insult first in this thread.
I'm going to go with the 'everyone at once' option.
You're all entitled little manchildren. Just because something new and shiny shows up does not automatically mean it's going to stay that way. And because you just threw it on a ship does not mean it should stay that way. The fact you're saying the mod is going to shit because of the developers is stupid. It's going to shit because of you petulant little brats whining about everything that gets changed.
Updates are being released every month or so instead of every three years. Bugs are being fixed, features are being modified, balance is changing. No one can ever find the perfect balance, but you little babies are whining about features that've existed for less than two months receiving a change that, as much as you refuse to believe it, is more suitable for roleplay.
But all of you forget that this is a roleplay server. You want to have a Gallic engine on your Sirian ship? Make a thread on the forums, write out the intricacies of modifying the ship for the engine that's based on a COMPLETELY different system, and then SRP it. You want something special and different? You earn it like everyone else.
But you're all going to continue throwing temper tantrums like a bunch of children, I'm sure.
