Omega-49 is far too dangerous for a comapny like OS&C. However, they do have agents on board Grand Vista Orbital, in order to keep an eye on developments in the system. If the local factions stopped fighting, and Bretonia managed to build a Jump Gate to Omega-49... well that would be a whole new story.

Okay, just a note.

Not particularly happy with the idea of a Corsair battleship in O-49, but I can live with it as long as there's RP regarding it prior to the mod update and we don't just get it shoved in there with no forum RP.

Also plz no. Bretonia is focusing on the war, no time for them to build jump gates to Omega-49.

Also please stop trying to make nice peaceful Zoner systems into warzones Tongue

Edit, actually can I change my idea?

Can we have some forum RP and see if the leaders of the Zoner factions are actually going to allow it? Omega-49 actually is a Zoner system that others are allowed in because Zoners are cool like that, I'm not sure that a new battleship insystem is something they are going to allow.

Or can we get a Zoner battleship base parked there? Like a Juggy or a Carrier? I'd be willing to use the Confederation's resources to get it put there to maintain peace in the system.

No battleship in 49, plox... No way the zoner factions would allow it, that without mentioning all other factions around that will want to destroy that ship... It would never last if it could be destroyed like any other battleship.

inRP would you do that in Baffin? TAZ would kick the living hell out of anyone that tried that... Phoenix too, and both factions support the idea that omega 49 is a Zoner system under OSI administration... Just because we are nice and let people around does not mean zoners would not go against a battleship in a (for the most part, when sairs and coalition are not messing up the place) peaceful system...

It's a good opportunity to remind you that Gran Canaria was left untouched because Zoners LET Corsairs in en-mass, counting on them to act as a buffer between Bretonian forces and the Zoners themselves, preventing the annexation of the system. Basically, that Battleship moving in, is either a welcome change for the Zoners, or something that due to the huge Corsair influence in the area (that they encouraged) is inevitable.

Rather than us taking on a Hessian base, could it be applicable to "churn" (as you put it) one of the existing bases into a Coalition one? Say a forward operating post in Omega-49? That way, the Coalition ID is still accessible (Like it was on Boa Vista) and it allows a good defense to Omega-52.

We have Ronne helping out on the O5 side and the vast emptiness of Omega-50 on the other. Personally dislike having a Corsair battleship one system away from 52, but it gives the Corsairs a good target to aim at and us something to stage an attack from.

The idea of Fes in o49 seems interresting.

At least the Mollys would have an excuse to increase their patrol in system, and therefore have player interraction with corsairs, scra, zoners.
Getting ride of port Jackson once for all Smile
