Blue message can be seen by all the players who're online, which maybe destruct the idea that "someone is a great pvpwhore" But your post might be seen only by a few members. But when there're 120-130 players online,it's another thing... Often people come and ruin nice RP sessions with fights and that annoys people. this, very much this RE: People afraid of the blue - Moberg - 04-06-2014 Docking on a station is a win in itself, as your character managed to get away with his/her life and his/her ship (mostly) intact. It is by far better than losing a ship. This goes especially for pirates who do not have enough money to afford losing a ship every few hours. Having to repair it only sounds a lot more convenient. And from the ooRP side, it is a win too. If you "die" in a fight by docking or by getting destroyed doesn't really matter. It is entertaining to watch people rage on forums, skype or TS when you do. But here again, docking is a win, as you successfully managed to escape from the enemy and your enemy failed to destroy you. As others already pointed out too, some people just don't like to RP with guns and run to the nearest base as soon as there's a PvP fight near. It's not really a problem, as it is up to everyones preferred playstyle. If they want to deal with the repair costs, it's their problem. I can not really see how it is humiliating at all, by the way. Your opponent failed to get a final blow on you, that's his problem, not yours. RE: People afraid of the blue - Zayne Carrick - 04-06-2014 The reason is quite simple, if you haven't died in space, you're unbeated, you can say you've even won that encounter. And while we're all playing same game, noone wants to lose it. RE: People afraid of the blue - Herve - 04-06-2014 People prefer to dock because: 1. They are RPing, and in 99% of cases a character would rather dock safely than have his or her ship explode, for obvious reasons 2. In and out of RP, its also a greater loss/defeat to lose your ship than to at least save it and its cargo/amo. Apart from the material reasons, someone may not want to grant his oponent the "greater victory" which would possibly involve the claiming of a bounty and the involved bragging rights. I think the answers to the question are pretty obvious, and the real question would be "Why are you asking?". That one I'd answer guessing "Probably to make yourself look like someone who always wins and is awesome that he just can't relate to the behavior of losers".
