You know that Discovery is not installed in the same folder than normal Freelancer, do you?
I cannot say you wher you install it, because I change the install direction for each programm I install, so it is "h:/Spiele/Freelancer/Discovery" to me, but I guess you have it somewhere else. If I remember correctly the standart install path of Discovery is somewhere under c:/users/<PCNAME>/AppData/Local/ or something horrible like this - that is why you should chech and change these things at installing.

Got the same issue as KamiKatze. No clue where the register folder is and I'm still unclear to weather the issue has been resolved or not?
Edit: I ran the companion app in admin and I got my current inven working temporarily. But There's still no map and most of the other UI elements don't seem to work.

It seems that as soon as you touch the cargo volume it crashes. To make it work without crashing, you have to set the cargo volume to 0.
