if everyone submitted a picture for their faction ID I wouldnt mind adding them to the game. it doesnt take very long once you have the assets.

whoever said its too much work either meant its too much work 'on top of what they are already doing' or they were just lying.

They can still ask all offical faction leaders for help to do the part with the icon creation. Like they did with the IDs before.

Garret said it, and I corrected him. If the icons are all sized and formatted right and just given to be put in the game - it's just a matter of a few minutes to put them in the game.

The two are just unrelated. The icons aren't made by the developers, and putting them into the game is easy and not time consuming.

Íf this is done, I think the icons should have a unified design instead of all having different background colors and gradients going off in different directions

Umm, why? Not all faction logos would go well with certain colors or gradient/patterns.
