Zoners Slavers continue to operate unhidered throughout Sirius! - Interview with Guildkeeper Domino Harvey

-Good evening, Sirius. My name is Bernadette Hawkes of the Core News Services. We've a distrubing story for you. Zoner slavers, fact or fiction? Well, as it turns out, it's a fact! The Core has received some troubling information from an anonymous source that reveals the true identity of a certain Zoner captain. It has been suspected for years some of them abuse their status to transport contraband and illegal goods but this particular captain really upped the ante. His ship was full to the brim with slaves. Boys, girls, kids, women. While shocking, this isn't exactly uncommon. To enlighten us on this topic, we have with us Guildkeeper Domino Harvey.

-Good evening, Guildkeeper Harvey. Let me first congratulate you on your return to active duty. The Omicrons are much safer with you prowling them. I hear the Everest has claimed many a victim in the past weeks, is this rumor to be believed?

-Good evening Ms. Hawkes. I am even happier than you to be back on active duty, and I cannot deny the fact that if it weren't for Mr. Daniels, this most likely wouldn't have happened. As for Everest, yes... The crew of the ship almost became its first victims, I don’t even know, the professionalism of people and experience saved everyone’s life, or just the desire to live, but the first steps of this unit from the docks for a long time of conservation could be compared with the first steps of a baby.

But the first sorties under decent cover showed that Everest was still in service, and the Corsairs felt all its power on themselves. In the early days, I don't even know what was more on the hull of the ship, the crap and dirt that hangs around their stations, or the remains of the bodies that stuck between the armor plates.

-Indeed, the Corsairs tend to be a rather disgusting bunch. It's a good thing our fleets thin their herd every once in a while. But tell me, what is your opinion on slavery? And especially on Zoner Slavers?

-If we're talking now about the Zoner ship that was seen illegally transporting slaves, also in Omicrons... I can surmise that these guys are playing a dirty game and not on our side. As we know, our enemies suffer enormous losses in all directions, whether they are Omicrons or Omegas, and here someone is clearly interested in a cheap human resource that can either fight or be just a labor force to achieve an unknown goal. As I said before, most of the slaves are former criminals who are willing to go to great lengths to leave the cells, whether they become expendable material or a model for experiments, which I personally condemn, Core do not experiment on people.
We have not yet made any official statements about this. We are still considering several options for future actions.


First of all, it is worth noting that the Core is the only authority in the omicrons that officially uses war criminals and deathrow inmates as laborers and has business relations with other organizations in order to reward the delivery of such scum to the planet Nauru. Thus, any ship transporting slaves anywhere violates the Core Laws.

Everyone knows that in most cases such actions can lead to the collection of a fine from a particular vessel or an entire organization if the vessel is not private. In some cases, if the captain feels like a hero and knows nothing but the name of his favorite whiskey ... Force is applied to such.
I think it's not worth reminding that our strike group may arrive at the Zoner center, demanding to extradite us those responsible for the violations, and refusal, may drag along one sad story that has already happened once.

As for sanctions, we are also considering this option, if this happens again, then we will be forced to resort to more stringent solutions, in addition to fines for individuals. And at the moment, I would advise all participants in the trade traffic in the sector to look closely at similar vessels. For any provided and confirmed information about such violations, we will gratefully thank you.

Guildmaster Daniels returns to active duty!

It was a calm evening over Nauru, no hostiles in the immediate area. The planetside operations were behind schedule, but that is to be expected. After all, the Core has recently been "orphaned" when the last Guildmaster stepped down. Morale was down and people lacked the motivation needed to complete their quoatas.
Suddenly, a blinding light lit up the sky. As if a second sun has emerged. Every monitoring station on and around the planet was overloaded with a plattera of signals. But one thing stood out from the rest. The IFF of the Warship Perditrix was being broadcasted. The source of it - smack dab into the eye of the storm. As it turned out, it was a hyperspace breach. The Mako emerged from it, battered, hull plates damaged or missing, entire decks shot up and wide open. Despite it's damage, the ship was operating at peak capacity. It's been more than three years since the Perditrix left dry dock and headed into deep space for a research mission. It's destination and it's exact objectives were known only to Daniels, his Daughter (head of APM at the time) and Guildkeeper Scarlet. While we may never find out what really happened or where, what we do know is that Guildmaster Daniels is back and not a second too soon. Many welcomed him back, but there were also those who called him a traitor and demanded his execution. Unfortunately, we couldn't find any of the latter for comment. During the past four hours, all of the Core's high command was gathered here to discuss both the present and the future of our organization. In other news, possible expansion into Omicron Nu was discussed, but Guildmaster Daniels insisted that if it was ever to happen, he'd be allowed to lead the negotiations with Liberty and prevent another "diplomatic crapstorm" as he said it. In his words, we couldn't not afford to go to war with yet another well armed military force.

Well, it's no secret I've had no love for my father, but I did, infact, respected him. As such, I do plan to follow in his footsteps and hopefully surpass his successes. Only time will tell.
Either way, this is a fresh start for us all, my father had an emotional side that sometimes clouded his judgement. I am way more practical and the wellbeing of the Core comes first!
