RE: GG, bye disco - QuinnZai - 05-23-2015 My advice to you is simple. Look at certain members of this community and look at how productive/destructive or just plain silly (putting it nicely) they are. Once you can sort out the bad from the good. Dont even waste time reading the bad people's nonsense. Seriously... Not worth your time and emotional pain to read their bad attempts at trying to be "cool" or feel important RE: GG, bye disco - Thyrzul - 05-23-2015 (05-23-2015, 01:57 PM)[FL-ER] Wrote: It Works like this: Your path of logic implies that you cannot do anything right without creating enemies, but avoding creating enemies isn't that hard. If you manage so, it means you didn't care enough to avoid it, which is almost as if you'd purposefully do something to create enemies for yourself, and I wouldn't really call that "right". Noteworthy? Yes, obviously people not liking you will notice and remember you. But that doesn't mean what you've done is right.
And your example has several flaws. If you have never heard of Farmer Joe, how do you know if he had enemies or not? Furthermore you keep following the logic that gaining attention by your action, even if it's negative attention resulting in enemies, is automatically right. By this logic we could say that <insert random nazi dictator from 20th century who's name starts with hit and ends with ler> was right in what he did, because he was remembered and he had a lot of enemies. "He had enemies, so he must have done something right." One of the worst ways of justifying your actions is to brag about how many don't like them. Oh and as far as I know Jesus and saints aren't known and remembered of their huge amount of enemies, rather their (alleged) good deeds, in some cases miracles.
