RE: Discovery Mining Guide [4.88.5] - Dragus - 09-08-2016 How much ore does one get when using a specialized ID, ship and weapons per chunk? Can't tell how much exactly do you get, but using a specific ID and weapons will make your mining enjoyable. If you for instance try to mine with a transport such as Serenity, you simply won't have a good time as you will get 1-2 ore per rock. So make you sure you use a good ID and mining arrays. RE: Discovery Mining Guide [4.88.5] - Dragus - 09-20-2016 Here is what I've been using, help me understand what I'm doing wrong if you don't mind. My ship is the DU5-7Y "Hegemon" Asteroid Miner. I use the Miner ID (Generic one) with the Zoner IFF. I use 6 mining turret arrays. I mostly mine Iridium. I mine using the first view (or not, tried both). I still get 0-3 pieces per node. Notice anything wrong? Any suggestion? Thank you for any insight, I've been trying for days. First of all, the generic Minder ID is only good for helium mining in Pennsylvania. You should change your ID to a Core ID, also it's not worth to use more then 4 mining turrets, because only 4 mining turrets can hit one rock. RE: Discovery Mining Guide [4.88.5] - Dragus - 09-20-2016 *Mind blown* Is there a complete list that shows all the advantages of each ID? I couldn't find The Core in this post's guide. Would a Zoner ID be as good as The Core ID for Iridium? Thank you for the insight, it's starting to make much more sense now! RE: Discovery Mining Guide [4.88.5] - Goldberg - 09-20-2016 Check out this Thread: http://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=134587&pid=1726460#pid1726460 It will tell you which ID has which mining bonus. RE: Discovery Mining Guide [4.88.5] - kindred - 10-17-2016 Thank you for the post, it's a great starting point. RE: Discovery Mining Guide [4.88.5] - Euca - 10-27-2016 Pinned as per Venkman's request. RE: Discovery Mining Guide [4.88.5] - xTENJUx - 10-29-2016 Can a mining ship fill up a transport with the automatic tractor beaming or do they have to jettison each time? Just select whoever you wish to fill up. |
