I confirm Cretan kids stealing Titans, like nowadays kids are stealing bikes. They sneak behind taverns, whorehouses and rich people's haciendas during siestas, overbridge alarm, get in, play with wires, get spaceborn, make few close rounds around Omega pulsar, get exposed and come back to Crete. Cuz being exposed is so in. Even their chief of Carabineros did it when he was a kid and look at him now! *proudly*
They don't steal cars. Driving a car without personal guard on backseat is not advisable on Crete. And they don't steal battleships. Battleships are for pussies.

As an employee of the docking ring station, I'd tell a kid approaching it to turn around and go back to study...
If it's a furry, I'd tell it to find itself a pet owner.
but that's just me.
Also, ships might be easy to fly, however Freelancer has zero physics.
So claiming it would be as easy as it's playing this game in the future is pretty bull'.
Corsairs probably would find their ships too valuable to put a kid into it...
Unless it was meant to fly into something without it returning.
Having kids work in hangers or other places to assist with their goals I can imagine however.
