The larger powercore is really wasted without 2-3 heavy slots on the corvo.

+1

That is what I think is wrong with the mod and the route it has taken.

I´m here more than four years and I don´t remember that Disco was ever even close to "democratic". So this is not about some taken route, it was always like this. Devs did their work according to what they though would be the best, sometimes they were testing stuff directly in server environment because there are things you can´t simulate without deploying them...and less or more people always complained about this, called about ruined classes, final nails etc. Nothing changed in this whatsoever. Though everyone who is here longer time should be able to notice that current staff, be it devs or admins, is generally much more responsive to feedback from players than their predecessors in the past.

So yeah, Disco is not democratic, but never was and never will be. Deal with it.

So, like, skimming through this thread, what exactly is the problem? The OP just says the Tridente has Heavy Slots. Yep, that it does. And what's the problem with that exactly?

I mean, you want the dev team to take feedback, but you're not providing any.

RE: The hell with the new GB turret system! - Findarato Veneanar - 01-14-2016

"I just logged in my Tridente and quess where are the two Heavy turrets for dente??!?" I haven't flown the tridente since the change, but maybe he doesn't like where the heavy slots are located and their arcs.

RE: The hell with the new GB turret system! - Haste - 01-14-2016

They should be two turrets that have near-360 arcs, or the closest to that the ship has available. If that is not the case, please post that here (screenshot?) and perhaps suggest which other two slots you would prefer and why.

RE: The hell with the new GB turret system! - Findarato Veneanar - 01-14-2016

Here are the arcs, one gun can shoot to either side, both forward and backward, neither upwards, both downwards, it could do with a little bit more give.

RE: The hell with the new GB turret system! - Haste - 01-14-2016

I don't think there are slots that cover more "angles" than forward/backward/left/right/down on the Tridente, honestly. Turrets can't really turn into the ship to shoot upward.

The sideways arcs could be improved to two on both sides, though.

Please. Stop ruining game. First bs, no gunboats, next shields. Then what?

RE: The hell with the new GB turret system! - Findarato Veneanar - 01-14-2016

You could always privately contact the dev team about it, they do not seem to be listening to the few people raging in threads, so a more formal and direct approach might work better.

Also good writeups with pros and cons, detailing suggested changes and why they should be changed, help.

Look at Geoff. He presented his sounds, talked to the devs and now we have new gun sounds.
