Or you could not. Or the person can get barred from said faction and then bountied.

I don't think Freelancer ID is a 'do-whatever-I-want' ID and I think that arguement is weak.

Jump into a fight whereever they want? I also think that's wrong and is open to pvp abuse, especially if the person has no backstory, reason (beyond pvpwhoring) and constantly changes their diplomacy.

Adding in the Mercenary ID might be problematic, as it can open up to metagaming, "lol u merc die!" - and personally, a waste of time and space. Why do that when the FL ID is already merged with the merc ID?

I think people miss the point of the Freelancer ID, which is freedom. Self-interest.

Nerfing the ID and adding an alternative ID would butcher a lot of activity and character roleplay that's developed using the ID. There's no reason to add a second variant, or remove several lines of the ID that'd render it useless, and demotivate lots of people to even bother continuing their work.

Perhaps if the official BHG wasn't just a minimal-RP PvP faction, it'd motivate people to use their ID more, as BHG has a really great tech line.

I didn't want to get specific but Auxesia is a prime example of FL ID abuse.

I didn't see this because I was writing my previous post but LOL oh wow

turd slinging oorphate it is then.

okay then.

not bothering with this.

Well, if you've got proof of such ID abuse or any further backing of your claim, I'd love to hear it.

My solution might not be the best, but its damn sure better than what we have right now.

I am fully in favour of bringing the old ID diversity back. It would allow for the easy splitting up of the current wealth of (admittedly 75%, but even that is BS in a lot of scenarios) tech cells that the FL ID gets, as well as allowing some more niche and flavourful diversity to faction classification.

also i thought the Vigilante ID was really cool but y'know

This might be an innovative idea that may balance scales again. Allows for the freelancers to be hired assassins and mercenaries on the spot, while leaving bhg to be the trustworthy bounty hunting entity for lawful boards.
For the sake of unlawful boards, non generic id bounty rules should remain as they are now, I believe.

I disagree with this, as it just seems to be an attempt to force groups/Individuals who use the FL ID to use the BHG ID. In my opinion, this would do way more harm than good, as it prevents unlawful bounty boards from being used as well, since BHG is lawful only. That'd render unlawful boards useless, which is a waste of a lot of peoples time and work.

How about we have an anti-thesis of the BHG. Basically an unlawful version of BHG?

RE: Bounty Hunters Guild is dying - Unlucky_Soul - 04-21-2016
