WIP, Tue - Reeves - 11-29-2016 From the original mock-up, through the constructive criticism and then to this, is a very big leap into the right direction. I'm glad with the 2.00, maybe a little fine-tuning and texturing and I see this becoming a thing. EDITING MY EDIT: Upon close inspection, those engine tubes seem to point towards each other, maybe straighten them out to line up with the craft's body itself? Somehow flying that thing with the current orientation of the propulsion tubes sets off a gif of the thing being torn apart. The bulk of the engine tubes all-together doesn't seem like something easy to maintain for the xenos either, maybe 'skeleton-ize' the engine design and incorporate them into the wings or main body somehow? A triple set of exhausts all set together. Maybe keep two bare-bone intakes on either wing and a third propulsion device can be in the form of some exhaust on the rear, the part with the bars on the back. Or you could cut the tubes out all-together and just use the back to facilitate the engines. Lot of room for you to play with now, the over-all model is solid, or rather solidifying. RE: Xeno VHF. WIP, Tue - Inferno - 11-29-2016 This looks alot better. I'll be attaching hull rams on the front. The bow (nose) will need a bit of work (it looks like something belongs there but idk) and a final texture. Good you kept the Kingfisher look though. Maybe there could be an Eagle 'vertical stabilizer' worked in. I don't think the actual stabilizer would look good (this isnt a Unioner ship) but maybe a small, low cut one might work, or something Read at your own risk idk im babbling. I like it alot more than 1.0 RE: Xeno VHF. WIP, Tue - Croft - 11-30-2016 Nice work Swallow, its gruff, angular and brutal with just a hint of Libertonian heritage on the back half. The engines are unusual but they give off a"if it works" approach to engineering thats quite fitting of the Xenos though I think the top two engines are angled downwards a little too much, raising them up a couple of degrees would probably do the trick. I'm not certain about the two blades touching the bottom engines, perhaps bringing them down to look like landing skis so that the bottom engines can be bolted to the wing nub extended from the hull? Other than those couple of things, the model is badass, keep rolling with it mate. |
