You know it's funny how people have been known to RP while fighting and yet you are making this statement right now.
Again, you are giving first priority to PVP and seconding RP. You care more to get your kill than you care to make some RP before you attack and maybe kill or not kill.

Please constructive criticism, Ad Hominem attacks are cool, I did it a bit myself in my last post but it contributes so little to the problem. A good argument should always be about the position they are maintaining and never against the person himself.
I will copy paste this to every and all Ad Hominem argumentations from now.

Because hypocrisy can't affect someone's position at all, can it? Oh, who am I kidding? You used a fallacy to basically say any arguments I have are invalid, I mean it's not like there's a fallacy based around using fallacies in such a manner as that.

What will typing do in a fight? Lol, you only waste regens. People won't listen, and if you got as far as an engagement, well, in most cases, it was inevitable.
I always prioritize RP over PVP as I mentioned before. PVP is just bound to happen in some cases, eg if I go to NY on my Aux, even if the outcome is fuelled by OORP hate, it's bound to happen that I'll end up in PVP one way or another.

So much anger... *sigh*
This issue has and will continue to be a problem simply due to the nature of the game. Nice things are so rediculously expensive and it takes so much time to get across the map, I can't always blame traders for trying to run especially if they stand to lose their entire cargo of cardimine.
So yes, traders will run. Especially if they are grinding for a Cap8 Cruiser and only have 3 hours a day to play.
And getting shot down in RP sucks because you then have to wait for 2 hours for that character to be un-dead. If you were hoping to accomplish something in said system, too bad.
This game is not time-friendly, and player conduct will reflect this. Sometimes in extreme ways. That's not to say it is all bad and that things need to be super cheap or death shouldn't matter; every game needs a motivation factor. But it does have... unintended side effects.
I try really hard not to gun it for a Lane if a LPI is sitting there scanning. And if they tell me to halt, I halt, simply because I recognize they deserve to have an experience too.
But I have also been on the end where I didn't type an engagement notice fast enough, and the bounty I was chasing SNAC'd me in the face...
This honestly has more to do with Rule 0.0 than anything else. You have to realize that the RP of your ship is not just about you; that others deserve a chance to interact with you too. But that requires common courtesy and being vulnerable. And those are not common traits on the internet...
