Coincidence? I think not. Oh boy how wrong were we. I agree with Mr.Whiskers here I dont see why you need to "trust" somone with puttile some words below their name for customization. What's the harm in it? And ye I want to see also examples of how faction leaders dont care about their faction. Sure there are some maybe but the majority DO care. RE: Why cant users have custom titles. - Cardinal - 11-17-2016 Well... Looking at it closely, maybe it is a trivial matter. It doesn't seem as if they would be a detriment to the community unless they were not abiding by the forum rules. RE: Why cant users have custom titles. - Antonio - 11-17-2016 I'd say we have a test period of a week or two with CUTs being editable by people with over 1k posts. If what you say happens (too many meme names), revert them and we're back to what we had before. RE: Why cant users have custom titles. - Reid - 11-17-2016 But what's the issue with memes? I can understand if you're a faction leader, but in the Golden Era it was nothing but memes as titles and everything was fine. Hell Schlurbi was a Dildo Pilot for god knows how long and it was never a problem RE: Why cant users have custom titles. - Cardinal - 11-17-2016 (11-17-2016, 07:39 PM)Antonio Wrote: I'd say we have a test period of a week or two with CUTs being editable by people with over 1k posts. Though personally I don't see the large issue with meme names, what's the harm in a joke? I mean, unless it's everywhere, and everyone has a meme name, why discourage it? The main accounts of players should not be restricted to such 'businesslike' conditions. Maybe if people make alternate accounts for their characters so they can post with serious titles on them, that could balance out? RE: Why cant users have custom titles. - Implosion - 11-17-2016 Aye, back in the day we had them and it was fun to see what people came up with. You could get a few giggles just by reading custom tittles. RE: Why cant users have custom titles. - Cardinal - 11-17-2016 Then perhaps this community should have some of the lightheartedness it had back then? Judging by the many people I look at in this community, there's a drought of happiness in various places. For a lot of people, this place is a place to relax, to have fun, and to joke around. They don't see this as a place that should be so formal in that degree of limiting user titles. For people of high responsibility, of course, I can see the limits on titles, but not for the average member. Unfortunately, the average member does not have above one thousand posts. Perhaps a five hundred post limit would work easier on the stomachs of the many members here. RE: Why cant users have custom titles. - Syf - 11-17-2016 This still reminds me of how I would chuckle everytime I saw Narcotic and his "Gablol Metarodor". Granted, he was a mod at the time. I have a conflicted view towards the whole CUT ordeal in general, as I see both sides of the coin in the argument. Or at least in my head I see such.
