These things were beyond their control and you can really not blame them for it, which is sorta implied when using the term "compensation". Such things happen. It sucks. There's currently a profitable trade event that's actually had some fun encounters as well, so why not go there and remake that money in an hour? Everyone lost some progress, you can't expect admins to restore credits to thousands of characters. Just do the event for an hour and you'll have it back. And yes i'll just make it in an hour.. nah it does take longer time, i know it ain't the most i lost, and others lost more. But i still think there should be somekind of compensation. Not all people just have the time to go make the money again, and with those who lost about a billion or so, they can't just make it in an hour.. Some people lost more and some lost less. Things like this happen. In reality, the only thing that was really lost, was Time.
