RE: Admin Notice: Changes to the indie Coalition ID, Cryer ID. - Epo - 09-30-2017 Do not make false assumptions nor put different words in someone's mouth. Thank you. RE: Admin Notice: Changes to the indie Coalition ID, Cryer ID. - SnakThree - 09-30-2017 I stated my opinion. RE: Admin Notice: Changes to the indie Coalition ID, Cryer ID. - Epo - 09-30-2017 My words have been directed at @Havok's not at yours (: RE: Admin Notice: Changes to the indie Coalition ID, Cryer ID. - Tabris - 09-30-2017 Just going to say that having access to the Typhoon is a privilege that I VERY carefully weighed before requesting, if the indies prove that they cannot be trusted to act responsibly with Phoon access with the additions to the ID (particularly in it's new range of targets) the access to Typhoons will be removed or severely nerfed (such as a ZOI restriction). Act responsible, not lulzy and there shall be no issue. Go around on a killing spree going 'whoop whoop whoop!' than you can expect to find the ID nerfed again. Not saying this to be a douche. Just saying that if folks are expecting a 'Kill Everything without RP or consequences' card than this isn't the ID for you. *shrug* RE: Admin Notice: Changes to the indie Coalition ID, Cryer ID. - Durandal - 09-30-2017 (09-30-2017, 06:45 PM)Tabris Wrote: Just going to say that having access to the Typhoon is a privilege that I VERY carefully weighed before requesting, if the indies prove that they cannot be trusted to act responsibly with Phoon access with the additions to the ID (particularly in it's new range of targets) the access to Typhoons will be removed or severely nerfed (such as a ZOI restriction). So essentially you expect indies to act according to your standards as... whatever you are now, in the official faction? That is wrong and not how this works. When you cast that vote, that was a vote When you made that ID change request, that was a request to allow people to roleplay as they saw fit within the rules, not within your, or the SCRA|'s, own personal scope of what they consider to be acceptable on the server. Edit: Just remembered you were the one who put it forward, meaning you didn't actually vote at all. RE: Admin Notice: Changes to the indie Coalition ID, Cryer ID. - Tabris - 09-30-2017 I expect folks to not take this as opportunity to go on a killing spree with little-to-no RP. If the ID changes prove detrimental to the health of the server and it's population than changing the ID again is only logical. I have seen folks both on Skype and on the forums going 'Oh boy! Now I can take a Typhoon to (insert capital/heavily populated system here) and go on a spree!" after this announcement went out. The Admins have a responsibility to ensure both the health of the server and balance upon the ID. If proven to be unbalanced changes should be taken to rectify that. I do not expect folks to RP like Gods. Hell no, I just expect folks to not act like Blue-Hunters who only sprout 1 line of 'RP' before attacking. RE: Admin Notice: Changes to the indie Coalition ID, Cryer ID. - Sombs - 09-30-2017 Don't worry. They will sprout two lines. I know the cruiser playerbase. ;3 RE: Admin Notice: Changes to the indie Coalition ID, Cryer ID. - Durandal - 09-30-2017 (09-30-2017, 07:04 PM)Tabris Wrote: I expect folks to not take this as opportunity to go on a killing spree with little-to-no RP. Better remove everything in the game then, because you're never going to oust that. It is within the scope of the rules and frankly it's quicker and easier for the people who are good at it and do it on a daily basis to just log their locally parked caps anyway. You're disgusted at the possibility of it happening with your ships? Well whatever man, it's happening everywhere, all the time, and is a major chunk of what Discovery is. Typhoons or not it's going to keep happening, and all taking away options does is limits people's roleplay within the scope of what you consider acceptable. You know what? Let's be more blunt here. If you want @Wesker @Jayce @Antonio @Impyness banned, how about we have a vote on A Heavier Decision™ instead of taking things away from everybody? And well, if want JoeRUS))McAverage gone, we can all enjoy playing on a 30 pop server at peak hours.
