RE: FA) - The Farmer's Alliance - Faction Information and Feedback - Sand-Viper - 04-03-2018 I will agree that the recruitment template is visually pleasing - to the point of which I'm almost tempted to apply, myself. You know what I'd like to see, though? Farmers breaking the mold. Kusari is a House in which most factions within have a sense of honor, integrity, dignity and self-worth. The Farmers of the Alliance however, have seen their integrity put to shame with Kusarian culture being A-OK with cheap foreign alternatives to food. Well, if their own honor is stained, why not stain the government and corporate giants' honor back? What Kusari needs is a pure/mostly for-profit piracy faction. As a bunch of displaced farm workers who are treated as criminals by the government, who could blame some of them for openly embracing this attitude by becoming the monsters that society wants them to be? Sometimes, a man or woman's greatest foe is the one they themselves created. Yes, by rules of ID, the Blood Dragons and Golden Chrysanthemums can pirate in Kusari, too. But usually they have ulterior motives to collecting money inRP. "It's for a righteous cause!" or "We would appreciate your aid in fighting female oppression." But Farmers? They have serious potential for being the "Screw that, our jobs were taken from us and we need money. If we can't earn our living legitimately, we will legitimately make living for the opposition hell!" sort of faction! For-profit piracy, I feel, would give the AFA much needed life, as it's a far more simplistic RP style than trying to uphold tenants of honor. It'd be a way to draw newbie players looking for a piracy faction into Kusari, and remember: The Mamoru is one of the BEST bombers in the game, which leaves the AFA in a perfect position to become a respected foe (Oh and having access to the Raba at 100% and Claymore at 90% makes them desirable as far as tech is concerned, too). Having good tech is absolutely a great recruitment tool to bring rookies in, especially when they know "Okay, I'm not the best at PvP, but at least my ship is good!" If ya'll went in that direction, heck yeah I would climb aboard and give the Dragons, Naval Forces, and dang near anyone else a good-bad time! RE: FA) - The Farmer's Alliance - Faction Information and Feedback - WesternPeregrine - 04-03-2018 At the current time, there us absolutely nothing and no one to stop or object to you taking that initiative and project the farmer presence as a robber gang in kusari. As Owen said, this iteration of the Farmers is kaput, and there is plenty of room for a new one. RE: FA) - The Farmer's Alliance - Faction Information and Feedback - Sand-Viper - 04-03-2018 I might just test the waters with an indy Farmer and see how things go, then! I'm sure the BD| and [KNF] would appreciate something new to shoot at.
RE: FA) - The Farmer's Alliance - Faction Information and Feedback - Corile - 04-04-2018 As formerly a leader of Alliance)- I can say with definite certainty that Kusari right now is broken and the Farmers are a perfect reflection of that. They have the single most powerful house pirate ID in the game which allows them to dock on lawful bases, they have imo the best light bomber in the game, they have quite clearly defined enemies. And yet I don't know why, but somehow they are neglected. I'm generally interested in any revival attempts, and hopefully as soon as the scoops I heard regarding the nerfing of Kusari VHFs turn out to be true, I'd actually quite like to shoot a bit in Kusari.
