Aren't your Battleships equipped with SRP ID? Our battleships are not equipped with SRP ID, and we have an admin check to ensure there are no more than 2 (+1 SRP). Having it on the official ID ensures that SRP ID mixups don't happen and saves bureaucracy for both admins and the faction. Hence the 'limited'. Other than that, I like the update from an UN perspective. Agreed. Self defense and defense of allied ships should be allowed for everyone and doesn't need to be in the IDs. Only problem I see is with Rheinland military transports defending Rheinland transports in Liberty for example. Maybe military factions and police should get lines that prohibit that in their IDs. Not old in the hurr durr going gray sense, old in the sense that I've probably overstayed my welcome here. I've been on Discovery ten years. When you do something that long, you get used to things being done a certain way. I don't want to have to relearn and restudy every ID in the game and feel like I'm walking on egg shells with each and every one of my characters. What we have right now is far from perfect, but it is functional. I'd much rather just leave it and amend IDs iteratively through the current system than basically teach myself how to walk again. If you look at Virginia, there's the Texas jump gate with the LPI base next to it, the first lane, and then Richmond and the USI base at the junction of the first and second lane. The second lane specifically says "Restricted" when you select any ring in it. Anywhere not described in that first sentence is a no-go zone AFAIK, and if you trespass outside of there you should get shot. I suppose we should clarify what's civilian accessible in the laws, though, just to be clear. Also, please replace the Vagrant ID in the OP with the one I provide here. "Ally" means, being in the same group during combat. That's how it is perceived by admins, at least to my knowledge. As for the new format, I made the changes and also copied some parts of that format to the Solomon K'hara ID as well. However I did not change the word "protect" to "assist" because that's the word used everywhere. One of the points of this overhaul is to standardize wording. Different terms being used in multiple IDs will easily be confusing to players. In the case of Coalition however, you have no ZoI so you can already attack all enemies of Coalition, irrelevant of whether they are in combat with Mollys/Hessians at that specific moment. |
