Ohayō gozaimasu, fellow Dragons. While patrolling the Unyo Cloud with fellow member of clan Nakai, Chieko Meisa, we encountered very unusual readings. Our eyes confirmed the indications of our scanners: a carrier-class vessel emblazoned with Liberty Rogue markings! Upon stopping the ship Padua's Renaissance to determine its cargo and destination, a friendly and agreeable Captain Amy informed us she was hauling counterfeit software bound for the Edge Worlds, and the star charts indicated that Chugoku -> Tohoku would make an efficient shortcut. She offered to make a correction to her route and sell us the software directly. While sophisticated analytical programs and improved recreational materials would be of use to us, we had no way of safely verifying the quality of her materials, nor did we have the desire to travel all the way to Lane Hacker territory on a wild-goose-chase to contact her buyer. We could not risk introducing virus-laden programs into our Blood Dragon network!

We agreed to let her pass through our space towards her original destination on one condition: she must fly through Blood Dragon space with an escort. This was done for two purposes, one: to ensure our sacred home-system is treated respectfully and without any threat of attack, and two: to aid in navigating her enormous craft through the dense asteroid fields in Chugoku and western Tohoku. Amy and the crew of Padua's Renaissance conducted themselves honorably, in accordance with the guidelines we established. Her craft passed through Blood Dragon space unharmed, and I returned to Ryuku Base. We look forward to greater interactions with honorable members of any factions that are not aligned against our interests.

Honor to the Shogun, Honor to Nakai Clan, Long Live the Dragons!

Aisatsu.

Today I was treated to a tour by Dragon Shizumo. On this tour, he and I discussed the history of the Dragons and what we fight for; this took us deep into the Sigmas and eventually the Omicron systems where I was treated to fully understanding the Nomad threat. Along the way we eliminated several creatures of aforementioned variety before doubling back once I had been appraised of our allies' sacrifice.

Upon returning back to Kusari, we visited our dearest Chrysanthemum friends where Shizumo was informed of a 'back-door' route from Kyushu into Nagano. A jump hole to the Tottori system. The route we were supplied delivered us to the location of a Hogosha base in an asteroid cluster, with what appeared to be a race track that ventured through a minefield. Needless to say, we dared not waste our time approaching too close and immediately adjusted our course accordingly.

As we passed through this system, we came across a Samura installation around planet Miyazaki. Myself and Shizumo destroyed the food storage containers around the station and proceeded to eliminate a Hogosha convoy heading towards the Nagano jump-hole we were promised. These Hogosha were transporting light arms, we secured as many as possible; destroying the rest.

I was then able to visit our base of operations in Nagano, of which I was unbelievably impressed, before returning to Chugoku and ending our patrol.

I have attempted to transmit my guncam footage, however it appears it may have been damaged during our venture. Gomeiwaku meiwaku o kakete sumimasen.

LOCATION: Mito Shipyards, Chugoku
SUBJECT: First Flight of the Cruiser Hamamatsu

Ohayō gozaimasu, fellow Dragons. It is a proud day for Nakai Clan, as the Kagutsuhchi-class cruiser Hamamatsu has finally been completed and is now operational. Many months of swift work by our shipbuilders on Mito Shipyards have finally come to fruition, with invaluable assistance from Yuso shipments and honorable Order engineering designers. The completion of this fine craft marks a significant improvement in the readiness of Nakai Clan's fleet. The Hamamatsu will serve three main purposes, in descending order of importance:

1. To defend our revered home system against all threats.
2. To support the siege of Planet Tomioka, the conquest of which is a top priority for Nakai Clan.
3. To, with per-instance approval of the Most Honorable Daimyo Nakai Shun, provide heavy-armor support to our allies, the Chrysanthemums and Order.

My appointment as the captain is the greatest honor I have ever received, and I am proud to pledge myself, my ship, and my crew to the service of Most Honorable Daimyo Nakai Shun. We are admittedly still inexperienced; this sleek craft has immense potential that we are endeavoring to unlock. I will push them as hard as possible to ensure they are ready when the time comes to bring our guns to bear on the enemy.

Honor to the Shogun, Honor to Nakai Clan, Long Live the Dragons!

Aisatsu.

Following a prolonged patrol of Kusari today with our Chrysanthemum sisters, we were tipped off by an anonymous source about a Kishiro vessel in the New Tokyo system; positioned approximately 140,000km above Shinagawa Station. Though reluctant at first, myself and the GC proceeded to investigate.

As luck would have it, the source was correct. We were greeting by a Zoner flagged Shukensha going by the name Kishiro|Aoshima.

This 'Kishiro' was apparently in the process of undertaking an experiment utilising a jump drive. - They explained how that ship was unable to use the jump drive itself, due it's lack of power, however; from my understanding, they aimed to re-purpose wormhole technology in order to be able to 'teleport smaller objects' as one of the GC put it. To my knowledge, this is indeed theoretically possible. Imagine being able to 'teleport' small asteroids or even explosives into another vessel or even planet.

Our conversation needlessly dragged out for a while, it was almost as though we were giving them more ideas the more we talked. - The thought of destroying this vessel crossed my mind, however I felt that killing civilian scientists would have been a dishonourable act at this time, especially when they have yet to succeed in perfecting the technology. Furthermore, the GC appeared reluctant to attack also. Instead, I prompted to extort the scientists for $20,000,000 credits, splitting the funds between myself and my wingmen.

I suggest keeping a close eye on these developments. - If they are able to reach a breakthrough it may be in our best interests to seize this technology for ourselves.

My actions or lack thereof may have consequences, of which I am willing to take full responsibility for.

I finished my patrol on Hikone base.

Dragon Recruit Hayashi and I set up a blockade in Shikoku, stopping any passing ships. These blockades have the express purpose of discouraging trade through Kusari which supports the corporations and industries that fight us at every turn and keep the Kusari people oppressed. Most of the encounters were straightforward business for Nakai clan: we stopped a simple explorer who was permitted to leave unbothered, and an unescorted Interspace convoy who was taxed for doing business with our enemies. Honorable Daimyo of Takeda clan arrived to our blockade as part of an inter-clan cooperative effort, when another ship dumped out of the disrupted trade lane: a civilian fighter.

We assumed this would be a third simple encounter: either this was some drifter passing through that we could let by without incident, or perhaps a collaborator with Kusari corporations that could be taxed or destroyed for supporting our oppression. I could not have been more wrong, and the events to follow were anything but ordinary.

Unlike most ships, which either turn to flee or power down their engines upon sighting Blood Dragons, this ship actually approached us, flagging us down and requesting our assistance. Our alert level was high, but with three ships and the presence of a Daimyo, I felt confident we could handle what ever was to come.

He introduced himself as Mr. Alexander Lafferentz, a former Order O'Rhu operative. He was distraught, confused, and paranoid, insistent that we speak somewhere more privately despite being in the presence of a full wing of Dragons. His ship bore no Order markings or equipment and we were deeply suspicious, but pursuant to section 2 of the Order-Blood Dragon treaty, we were honorbound to at least investigate this matter in case he was telling the truth. Supporting our Order allies is of paramount importance, not just to our goals in Kusari, but for the continued survival of humanity. It is an alliance Nakai Clan takes very seriously.

Attachment: Taking cover in the Saiun: X

We took cover in a dense nebula nearby, some distance from the trade lane, and he explained himself further. Three months ago, he was on a mission escorting a standard supply ship. It was no more than an eight-day deep-space assignment, but when he returned to O'Rhu's base of operations, he made a horrifying discovery: three months had passed rather than merely eight days, and the station was now abandoned. He reported that he had been marked as Killed-in-Action, and his commanding officer, Jason Orack, had likewise gone missing after a highly secretive mission. Fearing for his life, Mr. Lafferentz fled Omicron Mu and set out through Kusari in search of the only allies he knew he could trust: the Blood Dragons.

Attachment: Speaking in the Saiun: X

I know nothing of temporal anomalies or the inner workings of Order operations. As you know, I've only recently been sworn into Nakai clan as a full Blood Dragon. My interactions with the Order have been limited, though I hope to work more closely with them in the future. Neither recruit Hayashi nor the Honorable Daimyo Takeda had further knowledge of the situation.

Unable to fully vet his claims but unwilling to cast aside a desperate man with no overtly hostile intentions, we agreed to escort his ship to our forward outpost in Honshu: Hikone Base, so he could rest safely under the guard of the Blood Dragons while we set about conducting a three-phase investigation:
1. Vetting Mr. Lafferentz's story. Was he truly an Order operative, or is he a Kempetai plant? How did three months pass without his knowledge?
2. If he is telling the truth, what happened to his commanding officer and the O'Rhu station?
3. If his commanding officer is missing under suspicious circumstances and the O'Rhu are in disarray, what forces caused such a conspiracy? What does this mean for our alliance and the future of humanity if the Order have been compromised somehow?

We arrived at Hikone Base and Daimyo Takeda departed, but before Hayashi and I could dock and arrange guarded, supervised quarters for our new guest, a new ship appeared on our scanners. Another unusual chain of events was to follow...

This ship was a civilian freighter, loaded down with scrap equipment. We intercepted the ship and sure enough, they were a scravenger, searching for battle sites to pilfer. I was not pleased that his scrapping venture had brought him so close to a crucial base of operations, and we were not prepared to let him leave freely with this knowledge. Merely pirating him would have not gleaned us much: he had some valuable cargo but we lack the proper fences for it. Likewise, his cobbled-together ship was not the sign of a wealthy scavenger with credits to spare.

Fortunately, I had a better idea. As many of you know, Yukawa Shipyard has been a tough nut for us to crack. It is well-guarded, though I was aware of a potential weakpoint that could be exploited by someone with the right skillset... like an experienced EVA-trained scavenger. A plan quickly formed, and I presented it to the scavenger. He could freely pass through our space and receive the sum of 500,000 credits... if he was able to crack open the waste-disposal container system just beneath the shipyard.

Sabotaging that simple system is far from our ultimate goal of destroying or capturing such a crucial shipbuilding complex, but inhibiting scrap metal and toxic waste disposal would be guaranteed to cause a temporary halt in Yukawa's ship repair and construction pipeline. Such substantial and volatile waste cannot simply sit aboard the station or be safely jettisoned; it must be transferred to external containment and emptied by waste disposal professionals. Until a new waste disposal system could be installed, most work aboard the station would grind to a halt, or increase substantially in cost. This was too good of an opportunity to pass up.

He reluctantly agreed, and even Mr. Lafferentz, exhausted as he was, flew with us. This mission had shaped up nicely... it would kill three birds with one stone:
1. Prove that Mr. Lafferentz is not a Kempetai agent. Thus far, his story could totally have been fabricated in an effort to infiltrate our base, but not even the most grizzled Kempetai agent would dare to openly sabotage a crucial Kishiro shipyard.
2. Settle our score with this scavenger, who could not be permitted to know the location of our base without giving us something in return. Sabotaging a Kishiro shipyard would ensure he would not be believed if he attempted to pass along the information.
3. Deal a significant blow to our oppressors through inhibiting ship-repair and production by leveraging a skillset most Dragons don't have: EVA-scavenging.

The mission was executed perfectly. I am still in awe of our precision. The scavenger detached all of the waste disposal containment units. Hayashi's bomber ravaged the station's defenses and the handful of gunboats that were scrambled to defend the installation. Mr. Lafferentz proved himself an honored friend of the Dragons, assisting me in destroying the containment units and handling any scrambled Kishiro and KNF fighters. We vanished back into the Hiyo cloud as quickly as we had left it, free from pursuers.

Raid on Yukawa: X-X-X

We spoke further with the scavenger; apparently he had been harassed by Order ships while trying to recover a wreck in Sigma-13. We pressed him further on this matter, desperate for leads on the O'Rhu and Mr. Lafferentz's situation, but he was either unable or unwilling to contribute more intel. We let the scavenger go and finally docked to rest on Hikone Base.

Final conversation: X-X

Be it known: Mr. Alexander Lafferentz has proved himself an honorable assistant to the Dragon cause and is free to dock on Hikone Base. If you see him in the bar... be sure to remind him to carry a weapon. Have a drink with him, hear his story for yourself, treat him with respect as both an honorable Order operative and a battle-brother from the Yukawa raid.

We need to investigate his situation further. Also, if you encounter the scavenger ship SunsetGlow, know that he has assisted the Blood Dragon cause. Ensure that he does not conduct business with our oppressors and enemies, but treat him with the respect he has earned in battle alongside Nakai Clan.

Konbanwa honorable Dragons,

Today has been quite eventful i must say, first i met with a Kempeitai pilot who instantly was wanting to take me in for interrogation. As a Daimyo i denied his invitation for an interrogation I do not need to explain myself to them, they should be explaining to me why they were so close to our home. My ship was disabled and i managed to get a ride home before the Kempeitai pilot could take me in.

While my ship was getting repairs, I jumped into my transport ship and gathered supplies for Osihi Ronin Station and have sent in a report transmission here. Once the deliveries were done I ventured out through to Nagano with my Tachi class vessel, where i came across 2 Universal trade ships. I followed them into Tau-53 where i disabled the trade lane before they could get through. when asked to stop they both ran in different directions. I caught one of them and tried talking to them but radio silence, after a while he tested my patience so he was turned into scrap.

I wondered how our outpost was going on Tomioka, so went back to Nagano and went to go visit. once i reached Planet Tomioka i find his friend coming back and i intercept. He must have known what happened to his friend as he was very talkative. After a brief talk he agreed to give me 1 million Sirius Credits in order for him to move on since he came from the Samura side of the planet. At least this 1,000,000.00 SC will help us out a bit more towards our cause.

That is all for now, live long and may we achieve our goals dragons.

Arigato,
Nakai Shun
Daimyo of the Nakai Clan.

Aisatsu.

I am reporting on behalf of Honourable Kaigun-daisa Kuroda Taiki of the Destroyer Ikazuchi. - Unfortunately his ship's repairs have left him predisposed and so I have been ordered to make a full report in his place.

Firstly, some context.

Following Nakai Clan's excursion deep into Yūbokumin space to acquire 'vital resources and intelligence', which resulted in the Hamamatsu returning heavily damaged and in the company of the Core, the Ikazuchi was not so fortunate. Instead being registered as missing in action for quite some time now.

As you are now fully aware, the Ikazuchi has returned to Mito, unfortunately without aforementioned materials.

Now, the report is as follows.

Upon breaking contact with hostile alien forces, the Ikazuchi's power core, navigational systems, shields and sensors were compromised by some form of EMP. As she withdrew, the crew and her captain were unable to find their way back home.

Following an unexpected Ion Storm this only made things worse for the crew as they found themselves deep inside a radioactive nebula, almost skewered by asteroids. - Several days later, spent adrift attempting to repair even the most basic of systems, the crew came across the most unlikely saviours; Outcasts.

A long story short, Kaigun-daisa Kuroda declared his intent to fight to the death despite his ship's condition. However, instead of destroying the Ikazuchi outright, these Outcasts took a more diplomatic approach and began to assist the Ikazuchi with both technical knowledge and an escort to Tohoku, for which the Ikazuchi had to completely draw power from weapons in order to simply engage her engines. - The alarming thing here is that they could have destroyed the Ikazuchi without resistance, but they did not.

Upon parting, these Outcasts took note to of Kaigun-daisa Kuroda's co-operation despite our frosty relations, stating, I quote; "It was an honour to fly alongside a dragon, albeit not in a battle." and "Nakai clan, I will remember this name." - Whether this attention is unwanted or not, it appears we have now made a name for ourselves within the Outcast circle.

Furthermore, as of several hours ago, we managed to successfully recover communication information as well as the registrations of the vessels in question.

The only footage captured was from an officer aboard the bridge whom managed to capture this image; [X]

Arigato,
Hayashi Aiko
Dragon of Nakai Clan.
