RE: Poll: Imperial Rheinland - pillow - 07-13-2019

all this thread is telling me is that people would rather have a poll where they can vote on how ass cancer the rheinland people are instead of this which actually makes sense when u think about it
delete bad men and put good men in their place
!

Only if I get to shoot them for being traitors to the Kanzler.

P.S: Voted with the RoM account so I'll refrain on this one.
Love the forums.

Alternate big brain idea: make Rheinland go to war with Bretonia over the Omegas. Cue new, interesting and active Omega conflict.

If a requirement for the above is Rheinland becoming an Empire I'll support that. Otherwise, I can't see how a change in politics is going to bring in much-needed activity and things to do in Rheinland and the surrounding systems.

RE: Poll: Imperial Rheinland - Megaera - 07-13-2019

tbh, can I ask why Rheinland should suddenly change government form?

RE: Poll: Imperial Rheinland - Corpus13 - 07-13-2019

It might be a good RP-prospect for DWR, so I'm supposed to feel good about it, but honestly... I'm afraid it will lead to nothing good. Or rather it isn't going to be made in way, that would make Rheinland more interesting or something. Probably it's not such a great idea to carry these decisions without 100% stability in both GM and developers teams.

RE: Poll: Imperial Rheinland - Karlotta - 07-13-2019

As long as people aren't using every imaginable way to slip in nazi dog whistles, I don't really care if its RPed as a liberal democracy or a crackpot dictatorship.

What you should really avoid are storyline developments that destroy existing factions and their gameplay without their consent. Suddenly making lots of factions hostile to each other has the potential to do that, by restricting their trade and areas where they can go and interact with other players peacefully.

That being said, the overall best option in the poll is probably "no".

RE: Poll: Imperial Rheinland - Reptile - 07-13-2019

Why we need Rheinland empire, when we have Coalition and Red Hessian empires?
Rheinland now is a dying Weimarer Republic which is dying under red hessian pressure on BSs.
There is only 2 ways:
1. Do the "Nazi" militarist usurpation of power in Rheinland. And smashing the socialistic movement. (not so good)
2. Do the history, where socialistic movement will win in Rheinland. And Rheinland will start grow like Soviet Union. And will try to help other worker movement(Mollys) in Bretonia for example. And Rheinland will have war with Bretonia\Liberty again. And Rheinland will be like a Soviet Union in game, only deutch (DDR). (i think this is much interesting) But i think many players have no clue about socialistic movement and worker rights.

But,nobody cares.

The Coalition are a Federal Socialist Republic, akin to communism. And the Red Hessians are Revolutionary Socialists. I don't think you know what an empire is Reptile.

No Nazi crap. Stop being dumb.

If we went by history, current Rheinland overthrew the imperial state due to how horrible it worked out for them. Nobody in Rheinland likes the imperial mindset. Look up the Popular Revolution if you want actual history and not just looking at real world examples to make your case.

RE: Poll: Imperial Rheinland - Mephistoles - 07-13-2019

For this to be a proper discussion, it needs to be explained exactly what an Imperial Rheinland is, and how it differs from what we have now. I think a discussion like this is a good idea in general to gauge the community's opinion, however a one line question with a poll is probably not the best way to go about story development.

Give us a more detailed description and let's have at it.

This story development, much like the Sigma war would be viewed as forced and do nothing but serve to appease a literal alt-right clique in the community that has taken to encouraging either bad behaviour or logging off. It's worse yet that the leadership of the faction I'm talking about not only encourages this behaviour but sees it as entirely justified and that their actions are exemplary.

If the staff wants to see actual tangible toxicity, look no further than the leadership of every Rheinland lawful faction, obviously excluding the BDM. You justifiably cracked down on my behaviour, don't slacken the disciplinary precedent now just because it's convenient. Don't even consider doing this, it's not going to go anywhere worthwhile, if anything it'll go down an eerily familiar route that we've all been educated about in our history classes.

I have to second this notion. An overwhelming majority of supporters of this idea from what I've seen have politically charged intent with it. Let's not drag RL politics into this mess lest we cause this place to burn down even more than it already has.
