The main problem seems to be your "cameras.ini" file. For all of your problems. All of you.

Andvari what does your cameras.ini file say? I indeed confirm that downloading the new update changes the cameras.ini file which then will screw up your menus. Change it to 68.88 and see what you get. Once the game is fixed and the beta testing is over, it will be much better but for now, we gotta change that file every time a new update is published.

Zork, what about yours? I assume something like 70-72?
Change it to 2 less and see how it looks. AKA if your says 70, change it to 68, if it says 68.88 change it to 66.88.. etc

also you dont need to do all that. Simply launch the game. click on new game when the game loads. Then press F1 and exit to main menu. Play the rest of the game like you normally would.

Also if you get the "cannot create file ....." warning, simply change the name of the new file to something like 1cameras.ini Then once it saves, delete the original camera.ini file and rename the 1cameras.ini file to cameras.ini.

My screen still isn't quite right, now the interface elements are too small, my screen is 1280x800 (Aspect Ratio is 16:9 right?). I'm playing around with the values a little bit to see what works, will the other file details be exactly the same for a 1280x800 screen?

zork, your foxv is too high. Drop it about 4 points and see where it gets you. And yeah, I have to redo parts of mine too every update.

I fixed it, turns out I was using the values for a 16:9 screen when mine is 16:10 XD, it's all good now guys thanks

hey folks

sorry to bring up an old subject but I need some help with this.

ive followed through the instructions but have come across a problem.

Every time I launch the game it reverts back to 800x600 settings in the /mygames/freelancer/PerfOptions file
Any idea why it is doing this and how I can stop it?

Cheers in advance
