For example a while back I spent a day doing passenger licensing... Out of maybe 9/10 traders, only 3 actually rp'd with me. Had to get one of the BAF boys to give me some backup doing the job. Make the Liberator 1.5x larger - reduce its turning speed to 1.2900 or such.
And it will be balanced...
Considering the Nomad LF turns extremely faster, has efficient guns, and a 15K Powerplant with a torp...

Great, you got us! You win. Why not give us a ship that is equal to the responsibility we have. If we were allowed to patrol in Eagles or Rocs that would be one thing. But even then, all we would be is LN lite.
What's wrong with getting a ship that can actually put up a fight? You all should try to be an LPI officer for one month. If you have, you would know that it's no fun getting caught in a 3 on 1, no matter what ship you're flying. The LPI's duties have been to enforce the embargo in Texas, fight off Keepers, Pirates and others who are drawn to Liberty like a magnet.
The other day, I was fighting off eight LR, with one LSF agent. In my Libby. And you want to keep our ships toned down?
What kind of losers are you? Most of you don't even try to rp. I got shot and killed by some idiot gb with no warning at all three days ago. Some doof named Polaris. And I was already under attack by someone else.

I daresay, calm down, skippy. Us constables know the problems, the main thing is to not get dragged down by it all. If we maintain a level of decency above that of the people who we agree are only in this game to destroy the self esteem and ships of others, then we are prevailing, as you so eloquently put it.
A lot of people here don't RP. Why is beyond me, this is the Discovery Roleplaying server, but, they don't. It's a fact that there are ignorant people. What we can all do is show a good example, and explain to the new folk that roleplaying isn't just a side note on the server, that this server does exist for the sole purpose of roleplaying.
As Police, we get one of the first opportunities to show this to traders, often the first characters people make on this server. I do say that if we have to do it with big guns, we're shirking our responsibilities to this community and doing a detriment to everyone who plays on this server.
So, no, the LPI does not need a Mini-Libby. Personally, I thought it was a joke, and I hope it is...

Jovial is good with this making sense business. People need to remember, RP doesn't stand for Really Pwnzor, however, if they don't know, that's something we need to show them.

Well, I pretty much fell out of the modeling phase. However, if the LPI may be interested in a Patriot/Liberator-esque bomber, I can try a concept or two. It'll be a beefed up two seater, kinda like a fat parrot. Maybe longer, with a couple torp tubes. I'll try to give it the best balanced image I can. Meh, I leave it to you guys if I should even try.

A level of decency? What's indecent is the fact that I can barely type out a sentence before I see the words "Lawdawg!!!" or "Gut 'em!!!" The next thing I see, and sometimes before, is my hull getting poked by missiles and blasters. I understand your point of not letting it get me down, but c'mon. Even trade ships blast us into oblivion when they outgun us. The fact is, the only way to get the opportunity to roleplay is when both parties are at least evenly matched in firepower.

Who said anything about new people being the problem? My problem is not with the noobs. My problem is with those that have been on for awhile, know the rules and still get their laughs at the expense of rp. I look up the names of those who kill me all the time, I see the dates of their activity and the amount of posts they make on the forums. I won't name the ones that are most culpable. I don't want to embarrass them, but they know who they are. If it was just noobs, I wouldn't even post a response. It's the veterans of the game that I direct this to. They are the ones who are the joy killers.

If you are an Admin, or some game developer, a moderator or someone who makes game decisions, then I apologize for speaking out of turn. If you are not any of these, then who the heck are you to decide if the LPI can have their own ship? Are you even in the LPI? Liberty is not Bretonia. Everytime I log on, there are more ships in New York space, than in any other system. I'm not trying to flame, I just don't think it's unreasonable to expect a stronger ship to tackle the heavy responsiblities that the LPI have to carry. To just dismiss it offhandedly like you did is insulting.
The point I'm trying to make is this. If veterans of the game are not going to rp, then nobody is. The ones who want to, will not be given a chance. Soon, nobody will. Even up the odds with a stronger LPI ship, and then the pirates, and other baddies, will hold off at least long enough to let us get a few words in.

The -polce- shouldn't be able to mow down everything that comes within house space. The navy exists for that reason. The police are there to take care of the smaller problems, not to blast pirate fleets into small pieces. Thought you LPI had SWAT for emergencies anyway?
As for your griping about Bretonia not being Liberty, your point? We still get large amounts of pirates to deal with. Also, you seem to only think it's the LPI that face the problem of low power ships, we all suffer that problem. It's because we fly LFs. Bretonia has Hussars, and as the Brotherhood will tell you from that event a few weeks back, they ain't powerhouses.
If you're so bothered about it, maybe you need to upgrade to a different ship class? VHF/HF, even freighter perhaps? They pack a fair bit more punch.
As making police bombers, I'm all for it. Even a reskin and restat of existing house bombers.
One last thing, you aren't the only one suffering the problems of being police. I'm sure the rest of the police factions (RFP, BPA and KSP) suffer the same sort of bother. Just claiming that you get more traffic isn't a reason you should get any more than the rest of us.
