The word around was about Oc destroyers rogue gunboats etc... but nobody mentioned battleships ? I had a "great and fair fight" in new york two days ago as you can see from the picture, below:
Lane hacker spyglass. When the fight started me and my mate were the only lawfulls around.

It was simply a heads up. Now battleships is, sadly, a usual sight in new york right now, there is nothing you can do about that.
Admins, hear this, is it really normal for all players to just go "meh" and log off, unwilling to play, their fun ruined by big boats only because factions have no control over their actions. I dont want to tell them what to do, i need to tell them what NOT to do. That's the thing.

I would like to shoot them as well. But that's the same thing the Bs| got done for, shooting Independents that were only acting with in the rules of their IDs.
The Lane Hacker spy glass is a pain... I don't even know what they have a battleship. But at least you don't see many of them, or OC Battleships or Dreadnoughts, either.

Unfortunately, it looks to me like the solution to lolcaps is an opposing bomber swarm. I know that it was very effective against a Corsair cruiser in NY when we got rid of it with 5 barghests. And it was very effective against a Blood Dragon Battleship (How many of *those* have you seen around?) when we got rid of it with a pair of bombers and a VHF.
It's not a great solution by any means, and I really wish we had something better. But this seems to be the only thing that gets their attention. Talking certainly doesn't help (in most cases) and you're really lucky if you get anything more than "ENAGING" out of them.

Hmm, I usually managed to resort everything there by talking, through the last year there were maybe 4-5 people that we actually kicked out of Liberty because of capwhoring/ooRPness. Most are willing to cooperate given the chance and some incentive. And indies often better respond to indies, that's why we gave some indies in the LNS higher ranks, so that they could command even the [LN] and affect other indies, this worked well and still does to some extent to this day. The indies get something extra to aspire to and a reward for their good RP and contribution. There's always something extra you can offer or say that can push a person over to your point of view. Manipulation was invented for a reason:P

If you are in a VHF and a single battleship can kill you, oh dear god what are you doing?
Honestly, if I was flying around in NY with 2 other VHFs/Bombers, I'd just take it in my stride and fight harder. Remembering that those big capital ships can't do ANYTHING except try kill you, one of the best things to do would be to simply deny them that.
They have no one to kill, they have nothing to do.
So, fight the fighters, the bombers and the gunboats. Fight everything but the battleships (That are not made to fight VHFs or Bombers) and cruisers.
Even better, stop bloody whining. This situation has been around for months, if not even a year at least. If the Admins were going to take action on it, they would have.
Lead by example and hurt them in ways that don't bend the rules.

Maybe its not the admin job to look after idiots? Maybe factions should do the fair share? if not, just give the example of the rp.
