What about the clear space around the planet? Won't that shrink as well?

Pittsburgh Debris Field Clean-Up - Zapp - 05-14-2009

I would imagine not, seeing as all he's doing is making the various radiuses (or however you plural radius [I just verbed 'plural']) of the debris cloud smaller. The spot in the middle would be independent of that, I think.

IF the junker's need more guys, count me in. though i can't the time this event will occur and am not really sure that i can be there, if a certain time/date is set, PM me and i'll se if i can come along in my salvagine pirate train or my junker bomber.

Zapp, it's Radiui

But anyway, each field is seperate. That means the exclusion zone is seperate. That means the cloud is seperate.

The ONLY field that will be affected is the scrap field.

Trust me on this one:)

Pittsburgh Debris Field Clean-Up - Niezck - 05-15-2009

Would you be moving the scrap from inside out or outside in? If you're doing it inside-out, then it'd be possible to include an ever-expanding exclusion zone, to form a sort of ring.

Pittsburgh Debris Field Clean-Up - Seth Karlo - 05-15-2009

The exclusion zone would affect the zone population though, which wouldn't be good.

New prices will be in effect with the next update to support this event.
Scrap metal will be purchased by Planet Pittsburgh for 599 credits/unit, which is more than the current highest price at Bornholm Depot. There is a possibility of it increasing further depending on the results of the event and my own tests of the mining plugin for scrap.
I am considering making this event rather long-term, instead of short-term, but I think it can be safely assumed that it will last at least about 2 months after it begins.

What I wish to know if this is still alive. If so, then it's not really active right now.

Pittsburgh Debris Field Clean-Up - Elsdragon - 06-03-2009

is this still going?

For some reason I wasn't getting email notifications of replies to this thread, or to the economic event application thread, and I haven't been checking the forum regularly recently. I didn't realize it had gone through until now.

I have been quite busy the past month -- haven't logged into the game a single time -- but I will make some time to get this going again. I appreciate that Xoria's economic event will be more long-term, it will certainly help.

I'm firing up Skype and we will start doing the initial planning there, anyone who would like to participate give a shout here with your Skype name or directly at me on Skype (eyvindm is my handle). As soon as the concept is ironed out, we'll move the process to the forums for proper asynchronous coordination.

Ventana, Zapp, Sindroms, and the rest: I'll see you in the old chat.
