RE: Announcement: Interspace Commerce ID - Jeuge - 07-12-2025 angry traders noise RE: Announcement: Interspace Commerce ID - Ashyur - 07-12-2025 (07-12-2025, 06:31 PM)Jeuge Wrote: angry traders noiseeveryone will be angry when they see it was the only id to transport ship systems between competitors, prices would rise with 30% most likely RE: Announcement: Interspace Commerce ID - Loken - 07-12-2025 Excellent change. Anyone complaining about the loss of 5kers probably has no interest in roleplaying as what IC actually is so it shouldn't be a problem for you to switch to another ID. It's a bank not a shipping company. RE: Announcement: Interspace Commerce ID - Perfect Gentleman - 07-12-2025 (07-12-2025, 06:38 PM)Loken Wrote: Excellent change. I'll second that view and add my five cents to the fact that the update is really great and fits the overall style of Interspace. The other issue is making sure players realize that this is not a simple pirate RP, but specifically that it is a requirement to pay a “tax”. Although maybe Interspace doesn't care at all about who collects taxes? What I don't understand are the claims from those who are unhappy with the changes to reduce the allowable hold for flights. Even setting aside the concept of Interspace as a faction, I just want to remind the most disgruntled that you already use Zoner ID, so, lol, you won't feel this loss at all. RE: Announcement: Interspace Commerce ID - Sand-Viper - 07-12-2025 It does feel like a slight oversight that the Renzu Liner (4k cargo space) won't be able to be flown by Interspace, unless its added as an exception. Other than that, I'm excited to see some Bounty Hunter tech being used to try and "sell" corporate transports "accident protection" lol. Also why exactly can't they pirate gallic corporations? I feel like that'd be one of their major targets, considering their attempts at pushing their trade lanes into Sirius. I still wouldn't have both "in their ZOI (all systems with trade lanes)" and also "outside house space" on the ID at the same time. Maybe "systems outside of house space containing sirian trade lanes"? ID = player character, cause the ID has the descriptive lines and its limitations. Thank you. Pirate ID should be removed from the game. I'm not really sure how to make the line more clear? I don't know how "Can engage in piracy against non-Gallic Corporate ships" could be interpreted as meaning anything other than "can pirate Corporate ships which are not Gallic". As for why they can't pirate those, that's because the piracy line represents the leverage that IC has over other companies that rely on their loans and insurance, and their financing of lanes. Gallic corporations (or Junkers, Zoners, others) cannot be pressured by IC's corporate power because they don't depend on them. One might also call this a small balancing favour towards Gallic corporate IDs, which are very bad otherwise. The out-of-house competitor lines are just corporate archetype lines. Almost all corporate IDs have those. There is no need to change this wording, because pretty much everyone understands that ID lines referring to "ships" of a certain classification means "ships flown by player characters" of a certain classification. If you have a line targeting Rogues, that obviously means a Liberty Rogue flying a ship, not the Bloodhound itself. That's just metal. I don't know if you're just being obtuse, but this is a common sense thing that's pretty much universally been understood perfectly fine. |
