' Wrote:The Ronin are gone, we left server and Freelancer. If Peter Kristal wants to do something with this group then he is the leader of whatever remains of the Ronin. A more elaborated post will be done asap.

Thanks to all that granted us their friendship. you know who you are.

did the ronin really left? they were order last time i seen them

Yes,we are gone.

Mostly it is Freelancer , even in this great mod that almost turned it on a freelancer 2. Its the basic nature of the game : pvp and repetitive.

PvP is something we really dont like that much, it tends to bring the worst of the people out. Basicaly we belong to a very old and established multi game mmorpg guild, Ave Tenebrae, which I co lead for years and helped to get established and grow.

We have branches in Everquest2, Vanguard, Guild Wars and now, that includes most of the Ronin, we started a new branch in LOTR online in the European part.

We aim to have fun together and play a game in which you can actualy roleplay; that is our formation, our cement, to overcome obstacules together, to have fun together and to have great adventures together.

Freelancer turned out to be a vacation, a break from our main type of game, something to do together. We intended to stay but in the end all the competitive and me generation acting, all the lolwuters and ganking, all the out of character nonsense turned us off.

Therefore we are busy now in middle earth, our guild already established there and we started the journey in that world.

We have good memories, nice people we met here and we enjoyed some very good experiences. It isn't, however, our style of game not our type of community. The minority of great persons and roleplayers, the great moders and the excelent administrators aren't unfortunately enough to cover for the majority of lolboats/gankers/constantly out of character people.

But we had fun, and we enjoyed it while it lasted, we met remarcable people and we will treasure what good we had from here.

But now the road goes elsewhere.

Yeah I was sorry to hear that you left. Happened just before we got the ball rolling against the Outcasts with our flagship up and running. Well, I wish you well on your ventures. Myself I am shackled to this server so if you ever come back there's a good chance I'll still be here.

Ronin - DeathsOverture - 08-06-2009

I will miss you guys, and our joint convoys.

Ronin was an excellent idea for a faction, and I absolutely loved your history writeup.

If you ever find yourselves back on the server, there's a home for the Ronin on our miners... and in the future, Planet Miura!

That's true, Freelancer is bloody repetative. It doesn't help that the game is essentially an advanced form of an Arcade game.

I must say though, if you guys were around for our H-Fuel convoy, you would have loved it. A lot of us are trying to change the atmosphere of the server to make it something beyond the basic nature of the game.
