Too many Indy Order Capships - Linkus - 07-09-2009 Player factions are independants with a tag who hold themselves to a certain degree of roleplaying and work as a unified group. Get 2 or 3 indies and get them to support each other and RP well and whadaya know, it's the exact same as a faction. The only difference really between faction players and indies are the standards they set themselves. The faction players standards are set, they don't change and are usually held up by others in the faction. Independents can, if they want, be complete idiots with no consequences, yet they can also achieve things that factionised players can't. It's a matter of freedom really, independents have more. The LolFleet joke was just that, a joke. and I never said that Indies should be cut off from caps, just regulated. I heard today of someone who saved up for an Osiris by doing order missions (took him 3 months). Now I like that approach. (Not that I would do missions for 3 months just to get a cap, I am not that....crazy) because it means that even if that person wasnt originally suitable for caps, 3 months in Omicron Minor being exposed to good rpers would fix that. The only reason I do not have a cap myself (If i did I would rp a request with the order players) Is I cannot be bothered trading. I got myself an Order Carrier. 617|Reaching.Eye. I sometimes hang around the omicrons with it, you know, being all Order and stuf. 7/10 times, the folks atleast TRY to RP. It's still unbelievable to me that Right 5 got shot down - it's the very depths of hypocrisy and human irrationality. Anyways. Yes, we should restrict the ships. Also, I beg the pardon of whomever might be offended at this statement, but the BHG is also rife with lolwutting capital ships, perhaps even moreso than the Order. (Of course, this large amount of capital ships leads to great fights on both sides, but the amount of lolwutting leads to a bitter feeling afterward. It's a win-lose situation.) And then again, there could be an application process that indies could go through to get capital ships. That would also be severely restricted, I imagine. Indies should be able to have capital ships, though they they must prove themselves very worthy of it. (i.e., in game roleplay with faction members, along with forum applications and what not.)
