Why Alpha is hardly invaded. - ProwlerPC - 07-20-2009 GMG| has begun it's claim on Beta. The GMG NPC faction has had a strong interest in mining the Organisms that are found in there. We as a player faction are gonna begin showing that interest by increasing our presence in that system. Also with GMG| now having a "forward base" in the form a flagship that can "carry" our forces to the enemy the OC's in Alpha can get some visits from us. Both the Sigmas and the OC's Omicrons can use a little activity. This may help. Why Alpha is hardly invaded. - farmerman - 07-20-2009 I always thought one of the reasons was because there wasn't really anyone to go from? Gamma is really close to Theta, the deep Omicrons, and the Omegas, which are all places its enemies can visit. Alpha is surrounded by scary nomad places (roadblock), Beta (speedbump), Eta (speedbump), and Tau-37 (BHG caps can't visit). Why Alpha is hardly invaded. - ProwlerPC - 07-20-2009 Oh and I should note that GMG has no problems with hired help. Freelancers have been operating in the Sigmas since the storyline originally launched. Trent himself was in the Sigmas because of the lucrative jobs out there. Maybe GMG| will want to hire a squadron or two to help them in gaining a foothold in Beta. BHG and BHG Core IDs are both allowed to operate in GMG space from what I remember, negotiations with them too perhaps. Why Alpha is hardly invaded. - farmerman - 07-20-2009 Plus Cryer is also greatly interested in Beta. You can always bring them along. Or their hired security people anyway. Why Alpha is hardly invaded. - globalplayer-svk - 07-20-2009 Nice picture, but you know what can 3-4 praets make with them? (when no,ask order indies how ended their carriers when 3 keepers in bombers jumped to minor) other thing is, as others typed: eta. When you are hunter in delta and you will go to alpha, you must go trough gamma, theta, eta. And what will someone who will fight prefer? Gamma that is close, or alpha that is far far away... It was being thrown around on the Dev forums about six months ago, but nothing ever happened with that. I think that would heat up the war again. And I think everybody understands my position on faction control of capital ships. Faction Right Five FTW. Why Alpha is hardly invaded. - Unholy1 - 07-20-2009 Yeah, it has gotten boring as an outcast lately. But with the indie cap spam, that's 100% to do with factions having no power Why Alpha is hardly invaded. - Death.RunningVerminator - 07-20-2009 ' Wrote:There have been multiple raids against Gamma, yet hardly any against Alpha. Somewhat frustrated by the fact I never have the chance to defend my home, I did some research as to why the Corsairs never counter-attack. I then found the reason: Indie cap ships.well about your "that idiot" comment, uhh im usually "that idiot" and in the end, well of coarse you die! but you take a couple with ya ;) And there definitely is a need for outcast indies, almost every other faction has its indies, corsairs being a big one.. And the times alpha is being raided, sometimes there is nothing but indies there. They usually hold um off for about 3 minutes, then all the "official" guys realize whats going on. Why Alpha is hardly invaded. - Eppy - 07-20-2009 ...uuuh...Verm...we're not saying there's a problem with Indies. We're saying there's a problem with indy cap spam. |
