Admins should... well...
In their [Admin] ships, they should just be able to just sink back and... tell people when they are breaking the rules.
However, in non [admin] tagged ships, they should be discovery's best RPers.

I don't believe Admins should be very involved in role play because it has the potential to lead to abuse. If an admin were to decide to take it upon themselves to enforce an embargo then there really is no point in trying to role play a smuggler, for example. If admins were "gods" in the game then there's no sneaking around them.
In my opinion, if they want to role play, they should log out of the admin account and log into a regular player account.

I've always thought that some minor Admin RP is a great idea, & during the rare moments when they have a few minutes of quiet time on the server, why not?
In that vein, there was a thread started by Hoodlum that I really wished to have gotten off the ground Tales of the ADMINS ...but, the time consuming daily duties of the actual job seemed to conspire against taking the time to keep up with it.
Although it was really short-lived, it was a fun read & personally, I wish there was more of this sort of thing...imho, in the long run, it benefits both the players & the admins alike.

Oh yeah, about the topic...I think it would be cool to have admins be a part of the roleplay; it would give things a nice existential flair, having these mysterious beings come down to check up on our universe which is, to them, just a really complicated wind-up toy. Very Douglas Adams-ish. Meh, I'm rambling..

hmmmm for reminding me of the fact that my Admin char died... i might have to admin-rp a vendetta.
We dont usually get a lot of chance to RP though we all do it every so often. I tell people my Admin is a Janitor.....
Basically if people take the time to RP when im on as an admin and when im not being spammed by pm's then i will try to give a little RP back.
April Fools day however is the day when the admins do... role play;)
