The IMG BC stood no chance, Only Battleships can actually take 2-3 bombers and win, either that or he was a bad capship pilot.
Now, Even bombers should have fighter escorts to fend off incoming fighters... See how the classes link up?

But you completely missed the point there - it took forever to grind him down. A single GB or fighter escort would have chewed me any my friend up. Between being hammered by the escort, and the vast amount of time it takes to wear the BC/BS down we'd have had a very slim chance of winning.

1. Become a better aimer. (This is very important when you come to step 2.)
2. Most optimal choice versus Bombers is to become a really good user of the 2.0 Codenames. Stack four of em' up and one full salvo will deal around 1/4 of Bombers hull, it is quite insane if you can hit with those well. If not, a 4.0 refire rate guns are good. The most important is that you pack a strong punch in the hull-damage.
3. Get lucky enough to not meet skilled Bomber pilots who know how to use their vessels against Fighters and have the chance of hitting you with Supernova and dodge very well at the same time against incoming guns.
And, you could always be annoying and go with a: Sidewinder, Firestalker, Lancer, Cannonball setup, 4-5 full hits should knock off every gun the bomber has.
Anyone who says Fighters stand no chance versus Bombers 1v1 can PM me if you like, and we can test that statement.:)

Aye, you can assign it into its own weapons group
For example on one of my bombers I have an Inferno and SNAC in their own weapons group and hit 'Q' to fire. In another it is in a group all its own and my mouse wheel fires it
Grouping weapons is great, especially on GB's so you can group your Pulse weapons, missiles and turrets seperate etc
