' Wrote:To get the Zoner Guard rep you need to kill Zoners then get bribes
Wrong, there are several ways to attain the Zoner Guard rep without shooting Zoner ships to do it.
' Wrote:There are no Capship restrictions
There are no Capship restrictions in terms of factions restricting or ID? If faction, that's an issue many factions have. The Council of Zoners (which includes several factions) has done everything it can within the rules to regulate our number of capships. I'll admit; I've got a Zoner Aquilon Carrier, however almost never shoot anything in it and spend the majority of my time on it roleplaying. The problem is the number of OORP Zoner capships flying around in house space. The ID proposal being discussed by the dev team should fix much of this; New Zoner Guard ID proposal.
' Wrote:The Zoner official factions do not restrict Cap ships
They do as much as they can to restrict them. The problem is that the basis of the NPC faction is freedom. We can't tell them they can't buy the ships, the rules forbid that. If we find them stepping out of line we'll reprimand them, and if they go so far we'll declare them hostile and fire on them if we find them. That's all we can do without breaking rules.
' Wrote:Powertraders spamming ZG ID
Again, read the new ID proposal. This will end the powertrade abuse of the ID.
' Wrote:Possible solutions to the problems
Make the ZG unbribeable; make their missions for the Zoners where you need to take goods from one base to another? Maybe take supplies to bases and move high-level Zoners around? Missions against the wild/the nomads?
It's impossible to make trading missions so far as we (the devs) can tell. It's possible Cannon may be able to do something for this, but unlikely, and he's already way too busy with other stuff. Missions against Wild? Where? We aren't in any systems with them. Nomads would be Delta only, and I'm not sure you can even run missions against Nomads. Even if we can, after a large amount of modding, make it possible.. They're Nomad NPCs. The hardest ones in the mod to fight. Stronger than Guard NPCs. And since you can't get a capship without a guard ID, and since you can't get a Guard ID without a guard rep, you have to run those missions in a fighter or bomber.. You go fight a horde of Nomad NPCs in an Eagle, see how easy that is.. However, I'm already planning on talking to Igiss about the guard rep and making it harder, requiring more bribing than before. But that's all you can do with Zoners. We have no enemies to fight, so we can't run missions.
' Wrote:Make some sort of capship restrictions. The Zoners need to police their capship sales, maybe make them be only buyable for people with good Zoner guard rep?
They already are only buyable for people with good Zoner Guard rep. The Juggernaut/Carrier are sold only on Guard stations already, and cruisers require a guard ID as well. Beyond that, there is nothing the player factions can do about it. This is not the fault of the Zoners, but the fault of all those people who think factions having control over indy capships is bad.
' Wrote:The official factions need to make some sort of restriction on entering O-74, maybe restrict the buying conditions of Capships, make people apply for them?
We already do restrict access to Omicron-74. We allow people only near Freeport XV and the Kappa JH. If someone is found at Livadia or the minefield, they are kicked out, shot if they refuse. If we find a non-Zoner docking Livadia, Corinth, or Sparta, we shoot them and kick them out. Same for non-Zoners flying Zoner ships without permission. Beyond this, there is nothing we can do.
' Wrote:Maybe restrict Zoner traders to routes that take goods to and from Zoner bases and other places? Like I take Deut from Gran Carina to Ames, Perfect RP, Then I go software to Solarius, Diamonds to Scarborough, Super alloy to Yokohoma then Engine components back to GC, Simple and reasonable RP
Taking Software to Solarius, Diamonds to Scarborough, and Super Alloy to Yokohama is RP for a Zoner.. I think your own RP for the Zoners is off the mark as well.. Again, refer to the ID proposal..

It doesn't seem like you've done all your research on this, and it seems you like blaming factions for the faults of rules and IDs, rather than the actions of those players.

Ok now, I'm not a nomad, but I've heard various things about them.
They bypass docking codes by being able to power the gate themselves. Jumpgates are derived from technology of Valhalla-1, a cache of information left behind by the Daam K'Vosh
Jumpgates are built over Jumpholes. Enough said.
The Wilde a defected Rheinland fleet? Are you serious?
Wild Infocard Wrote:the Nomad-infested officers and soldiers to flee home.
They are Nomad-Infested Rheinland Officers / Soldiers. Not a defected military group.

As Joe said, read the lore.

' Wrote:Finally, some positive feedback:), i am referring in my not responding to pirates for when the Aurora is just sitting there at the entrance to the Z-21 minefield and doing exactly squat. Or when other players are doing about that.

So, you complain because there are too many Liberty capital ships and that only good RPers should have one, and in the other hand you are asking a Liberty Assault Carrier (LNS-Aurora) to go and kill pirates in california because they attacked a trader??? I see a contradiction there.

I don't respond to every single emergency call, I want to do other things with my char, and chasing endless pirates get boring at some point. Also, I don't shoot at every pirate, why? Because I don't want to spend 20 minutes in a PvP which will lead to the destruction of any of the two ships which will come back after 4 hours, when with a line or two I can get the same effect.
That's how I play my char, if you don't like it, it's up to you, but you can't tell me it's bad played, because you have a different point of view.

I'd read through it for the amusement value were it not for the facts that A:
You're not lazy enough to ke
ep it in the default grey color.
And B:
At the same time you're too lazy to color it in a way that doesn't give me eyecancer.

I see everybody is making responces to your rants, I read your rants but not the replies. Here is mine though...I noticed you haven't made a rant of GMG, thank you I guess we are doing something right. As for BD having caps.....that's because they have the financial support of GMG through a secret alliance as well as training. (Vanilla lore).

More of my Response:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bounty Hunters
BHG Caps... thank Igiss for the restriction.....They were too rampant before.
You could barely go anywhere as an unlawful without running into a BHG BC engaging your lightly armored heavy fighter

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kusari Naval Forces
KNF, as it turns out, the mod creator decides the course each npc faction takes.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Liberty Rogues
LR, Alliance does not equal Merger, but allows the allied factions to share resources and power all the same.
LR Bombers, the Barghests.... they can be torn apart piece by piece. Its those who use Outcast Bombers, the Falcata, whos design based off the Sabre, an already annoying to hit fighter, that you are more likely to be ranting about.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lane Hackers
Spyglass Infocard Wrote:The mysterious "Spyglass" was initially a prototype of the Liberty Navy space reconnaissance battleship. It was stolen by Lane Hackers during the first years of their existence
Enough said. Liberty Navy has a problem with getting their Battleships stolen, as the OSIRIS class battleship shared a similiar fate, being stolen by Orillion.
Where is it stated that Lane Hackers are dependant on Cardamine?
Check the infocard. Theres a reason for it being there.
Alliance does not equal Merger, but allows the allied factions to share resources and power all the same.
The ships lanehackers use have all sorts of sensors and transmitters as INTERNAL EQUIPMENT, common sense eh? So it doesnt get blown off by gunfire.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Blood Dragon
This is why you practically never see a Blood Dragon Battleship, or even a Cruiser. Even the NovaPG refuse to use them from what I understand.
Quit saying to combine this faction with that faction. Your proposing a merger, something which won't happen inRP or OORP because both groups want to keep their origins.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Outcasts
Whos to say before the birthrate crashed, there weren't already 1,000,000,000 Outcasts? Given they have an entire planet, and numerous bases spread across Sirius. You? In addition, something to what you suggested I believe is done in some cases. I tend to stay away from Outcast RP though.
The LR Destroyer is a 4.85 addition, previously they had to use the OC Destroyer, If you want, give all LR OC Destroyer Owners the money to replace it with a proper LR Destroyer and I'm sure they will do so.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Order
Order cap-spam is generally due to BHG cap-spam and LN cap-spam. LN cap-spam is generally due to pirate cap-spam. Pirate cap-spam is generally due to fighter-spam on their bombers or lawful cap-spam on their various ships.
Its a dreadful cycle that everyone is to blame for.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
GRN
This is going into some of my own RP now. Especially since you mention a Player Faction, I can only assume you mean the GRN| unofficial faction.
The GRN don't logon just when they see some non-Gallic player to go lolkill him. We have assisted various players in setting up their characters. Done various events, etc.

Gallia
The trade routes that are the most profitable in Gallia require SMUGGLING. The Cardi-Manhattan route isnt short and sweet, is it?
New players tend to not see Gallic ships because:
-----Gallic Royals put in force an Isolation from the rest of Sirius. Whether the passage is opened or not, the Isolation is still there.
-----Gallic Corps even if some secretly support the Council, publicly support the Gallic Royals, meaning they are Pro-Isolation.
-----Council may be against the Isolation, they may want to go out into Sirius, bottom line is they can't. People fear the unknown.
----------The various groups that have first-hand experience with those of the Council, have done so cautiously, not knowing if they were truely friend, or foe.
----------Allow time to pass so that diplomacy of the Council can spread. Certain restrictions have been lessened a little. But again, give it time.
-----Brigands and Corse are against the Council's decision to open up the minefields. Allowing unknown people with unknown cargo come in, possibly bringing more harm than good.
-----Maquis, the only faction who are truely with the Council in their actions, are terrorists. Enough said.
As for the Security in Gallia, there is a civil war going on, more to the point, a Revolution. It started with Marne, Gallic Royals cut off access to the Core Worlds to that the Council and Maquis attacks couldn't spread to more fragile, or more vital areas.
NPCs might use a downsizing, but thats all

' Wrote:Buff all the bombers in the game, not the LR, Molly and Rheinland bombers. They need it. The extra CD slot is a stroke of genius.
I didn't bother to read everything, but this caught my attention. So, you actually want the most powerful and overused ships in the game to get BETTER? You sir, fail.

From his post, I'd say he's q_q'ing about the Barghest. If you look at it's stats and only it's stats, it is overpowered. But then you look at it's size and turning... and it's more balanced. But the thing can solo a Battlecruiser, you couldn't say that about a Falcata.
