New Weapon Ideas? - Gentle - 09-15-2009 I always though a Cruise Disruptor gun would be nice. Something that basically performs the fucntion of a CD fits in a class 9 slot. Thers plenty of scope for players who like a torp or Razor rather than a CD and would give even more flexibility to bombers. Downside.....um battleships will get hurt.... missile whores will too. I figured to keep that as realistic as possible there were a few things you could do with that... Vice It's basicly a weapon that locks onto a target at close range, say 200m and slowly gnaws away at their hull. Like radiation. This would solely be designed for pirating purposes as a count down timer for those more pesky traders. It has the similar ideals to a tractor beam. Except it doesnt move the other character, it just delivers constant damage. New Weapon Ideas? - VenomHX - 09-16-2009 What about the flame thrower mod? That was interesting. I know flames don't really exist in space, but neither do explosions like we see in the game either because there isn't enough oxygen to burn in space, especially once a vacuum sucks the oxygen source away. Another idea, what about explosive shell weaponry? Maybe a weapon that fires around 6.00 refire rate and uses ammo. Something like a flak cannon, just for fighters though. Also, what about shelled guns for capships? Like we have on mondern day battleships. Shoots explosive shells at people. Mainly for anti cap defense. New Weapon Ideas? - Varyag - 09-17-2009 Explosions work in space. We shot down one of our own sats a while back from a surface fired naval missile. China popped a sat in far orbit some time later. Real ord. doesn't need oxygen to operate. Like a gun doesn't require oxygen to fire. I like the idea of firing cargo. Give my outcast a fun reason to visit gamma. How about a shield stealer? Drains the others and fills your at the same time. I agree definitely - Radiation makes sense, and space already has it, so why not a weapon, the downside could be energy drain. Another cool missile, could stun your ship and make you drift *frozen for a few sec(s)*, and maybe even make your guns not work for a few seconds too - idk:P |
