Yes, I love them ! Since the update I already killed 5-6 VHF ! And It's more efficient against transports, gunboats and caps ! No really, it's so balanced now ! I'm happy.
Bomber was a killing machine. Now it's just an uber killing machine.

I like em, they cut down on SNAC spam, they give bombers an adequate punch against the buffed Transport weapons, they give bombers the chance they should have against Cruisers.
Sure they could use slightly different stats and different projectile colors, but all in all, I think they are an improvement, Bombers shouldn't be using fighter weapons anyway..

Yeah, it used to take 3 bombers to take out my juggernaut or RBS, now it only takes 2...
There needs to be a way to fix that without screwing balance with other cap classes.

Well. considering that the guns use quite a bit of energy and are fairly slow.
You can no longer spam guns and use SNAC at same time. Which is good now you have to keep a aye on energy. Especially on light bombers.
A bit more teamwork involved too.
Now bombers are more geared to their intended purpose. Anti-Cap
More variety wont hurt though with only 2 guns and 2 turrets. :)
New Transport guns are not too energy hungry. The 3.03 at 1500m/s are though. 9 of em drain a Prison Liner Power Plant fairly fast with continuous fire. The rest not so much. Unless you mount all of the 1.00s.

I havent tested my theory yet (2 bombers > heavy battleship) but I am pretty sure with these weapons it will be true. However, with the energy drain on the weapons we may have more of a chance at surviving...

Well bombers are as they should be, bombers instead of fighter/bombers as they were pre-update. They can still 1v1 fighters but with higher difficulty.
I like how they are very effective against buffed transports now and they are better against cap ships and gbs.
I just wish there was more variety but I am sure this is to come soon. Houses and larger pirate guilds should get their own bomber guns with small advantages here and there. The colors are...so, so at best

The new guns are just really powerful. Which mean when they hit, they hit hard.
The thing is, they are really slow, which mean its easy to dodge them.
So....
Bomber vs VHF that dont strafe at all and joust the bomber = VHF get killed
Bomber vs VHF that know how to dodge = Bomber will prolly be the loser of the fight since it will have a hard time hitting the VHF.
