Oh yeah, Idk about that 1.8b limit, Ive gotten to 2b+ on my admin char on my Freelancer4Ever 4.82 server.
It is fun to me because I like just roaming around selling goods and making money. I don't do anything while I'm doing it, nothing else is running just Freelancer and me. It wouldn't be to hard to have that much on an admin char.

Well right now I've got 19000000 on the one char and it's fine. Also Cannon said that if your money total (ship + credits) goes over 2.1 billion your character dies.

I think the 2bn mark is your magic number. As for the latter part, I'd always assumed that was a "do this and the universe will end. Go on. I dare you." threat. As I understood it, it's not certain that you will corrupt your character by gaining too many funds, but the possibility exists.
However, the only FLserver instances I've run have been local network and predate the millenium, so I'm hardly an authority on the subject!

If i were you i would be cautious, there are people out there that might send you another 200mil just to se your char burn.
I know you heard it before, but if i were you i would divide the cash up between 2 or more ships. Even thou you dont like haveing many, i suppos you dislike it even more to lose you saved cash and ship just becous of file corruption.

You know, if you only want one ship, you could get someone else you trust to make a bank for you on one of their accounts, then set a draw cash code? Maybe arrange that they can take some of the money if you OK it first?

/givecash is capped at 1.89 billion, I believe.

They can't. When I made my mistake and found out that I couldn't put the 21mil with the other amount it said I couldn't give it to that character because it would send them over the limit.
Anyway that's all behind me now as it's no longer my money. I can now trade all I want without fear of corruption.
