Eh, so that this doesn't seem like just another lame filler post, I'll elaborate on my earlier response to Red_Bull.
No, the server's IP can't be ninja'd, since hiding the IP from the hacker would necessarily require hiding it from the users as well, which defeats the purpose altogether.

The hacker him/herself didnt bring the downfall of the old server. It was a termination of service. For all we know, there couldve been other reasons than a hacker for the ISP's cutting of service.
This is not only the most popular and original version of discovery, but the mod that helped to keep freelancer alive, and the only mod that I know of to win 3 (?) mod of the year awards for freelancer. Furthermore, this is the MOST populated Freelancer server.
Its common Sense that it'll return. And within 2 weeks of it returning, it'll be back up to 198/200 players on 90% of the time.
