A) Nothing new in that mod, with regards to death=loss of ship. Joe Boomz of Ioncross utility fame has run such a mod on his server for the past 3-4 years. He has a total registered playerbase of 75 players.
B) I for one would not be bothered with a server running such a mod. It would take 1 or 2 lolwuts to ruin any interest in playing there. Building up the same char multiple times gets old real fast.
C) Have you got plans on running that mod on your own server, or have you asked the Admins at Discovery RP 24/7 to run another server with that mod ? If so, what playerbase do you intend it for - Joe Boomz 75 Toal War players, the existing playerbase on Discovery RP 24/7, or hoping the EVE crowd will migrate away from there ?
If we take the previous attempt to please the PvP crowd by running a dedicated Discovery PvP server into account, the name for this mod can only be : Discovery:Epic Fail With Zero Players.

ok well I'm not to familiar with EVE, but I think there was a server called Discovery of Discovery which offered the same thing, at least back when I was playing.

Sort of, but not exactly. Disco o' Disco had a starting cash value of 1.85 billion. You couldn't run out of money and have it be significant, ever. Sure, there was a death penalty, but that wasn't really important due to the sheer amount of credits everyone had.
What masternerdguy plans on doing is that every time you die, you lose your ship, and all equipment. You keep your money. Compared with Disco o' Disco, this is kinda severe.
