Solarius Base in Omega 11 is a Daumann station, its part of their mining venture as I recall. Being shielded from radiation by the decaying planet.

We RP like crazy when we can. We've initiated Forum RP already... This isn't only for the money, its because its a niche that has not been filled in Sirius. We're filling it.
We'll be expanding as fast as we can, when we can. Right now we're bogged down replying to these threads and comments. If any of you would care to join our ranks it would make us expand quicker. What we need right now is miners and transports, Transports mainly. Soon we're gonna be up to our ears in Drones because of this Drone RP we're in right now.
As for us being Zoners, if you read the post in question, Like I told you to, you'll see that the reason we left the houses is because of this company. The Houses were breathing down our necks about our dealing with other houses, so we said. OK We'll be Zoners and thus make money that way. Zoners are respected because of their Money. They also make great big ships, where do they get the materials to make such large ships? There are currently no corporations I know of with contracts to mine Ore, its all a ton of Indies. We're essentially Freelancers that are Miners. But since Freelancers work for themselves, they wouldn't fit this RP. Zoners do.
It may not be "Zoner RP" in the conventional Sense, but it is Our RP. If all people with faction Ideas have to conform to the existing RP avaliable, what's the point? Why even bother? Its called creativity. Anyhow. In the future if you have any input for the ZoE... There is a thread that requests the input... Put it there rather than making a new thread all on its own... K?
And remember, this faction started... 3 days ago. We're still forming and hardening, if you have any suggestions for us, then by all means, post them in our Faction Intro thread. We'll listen to your advice, weigh it and see if its feasible for us to adhere to...

Simply because a faction doesn't have a mining bonus doesn't mean they aren't miners.
If you want the ZoE to move into the edge worlds, how about you give them a reason to. As it stands now, the edge worlds aren't much fun if you want interactive RP on a regular basis. I ran a whale through most of the Edge and rarely encountered any pirates. It sucked, so I became a miner in the more populated areas so I could get some RP. Guess what? I did and I enjoy it more. (Not a Zoner miner, mind you.)
With the removal of Silver Ore from Penn, this may be been done. Time will tell.
