Build your fleet up slowly and gradually and I would go so far as to suggest that you begin with a small area of operations. Not only will building up your fleet and territory make it more fun, but folks will take more (positive) notice of you.
Well for right now, the Aquilon is only going to be available to the Grand Marshal which is me, and since I don't powertrade to much, I doubt I'll be getting one for quite a while (think 6 months).
I'm hoping the ZDF does stay fighters and bombers for now as well, thats how its designed mostly. As for our ZOI, well, we haven't began patrols yet, but we'll go wherever were needed.

As Marcus said, doubtful you'll see many ZDF caps. I plan on getting a Fearless simply because its part of the back story and Izii has been role playing his Broken Hammer for quite awhile. Other than that it should be fighters/bombers and a gunboat now and then.
