Flak - Panzer - 08-29-2007 So the next poll I'll make will be: Get rid of the Raven's talon, As an answer, a "get rid of the viper" poll willl appear and so on untill the last ship and weapon remains will be the starflea and justice mk I, oh, no shields either, because the justice are ineffective with them. Flak guns work good against guns on discovery modded ships, but they rip half the hull of a vanilla ship PLUS the guns. while doing allmost no hull damage against discovery ships. So, templar, if the guns would do the same thing to discovery ships as it would to vanilla ships, no problem then. but now there is a problem. Flak - Eppy - 08-29-2007 Here's an idea proposed on Skype: Drop the splash radius, lower the damage to 500, make the refire One Per Seecond, and speed the projectile up to 1000 MPS. I would vote for reducing the area damage then, the damage itself to 1000, a high speed, and you now have a balanced weapon against smaller ships:) Flak - Panzer - 08-29-2007 Yes... but then, the gun would have to use a "gun" frame, not missle. With 1/4 shield and full hull in a gunboat versus a battleship after a pass got the messages all in a row "turret lost, turret lost, turret lost, launcher lost" etc etc, was down to a mine dropper as only thing left. They are brutal weopons, but I have learned from this if I see a player with multiple flak turrets I won't fight them plain and simple. I rp a pirate not a kamikaze, if used in moderation they are fine not a fan of nerfing anything. Flak - Eloim - 08-29-2007 lol when i saw the weapon with its very slow rate and strange move i didnt saw that as a good anti fgt weapon. corsairs fast firing guns for destroyers and cruisers dont work against other cap ships.. (i tested that). now finding this lol. Flak - mohr - 08-29-2007 Hmmm, haven't been able to import one of the vanilla (or Discovery) big ships to try and make a wireframe, but here's a thought; instead of makeing wireframes for each new ship ( which requires permission from the creator to mess w/ the model I belive), just make it so that the vanilla ships use the model as wireframe, just like the new Discovery ships. Can this be done? P.S. I'm no English major but was that a run on sentance or what? :crazy: Mohr |
